Great product great value

I take this every night for decades. When I was in highschool 50 years ago I got cold sores and my Doctor said that my body was lacking this amino acid. So I've been taking it ever since. If I feel the tingling in my lip I load up on the dosage.

Cold sore prevention

Very effective in the prevention of cold sores both inside and outside of the mouth. I ran out recently and kept forgetting to re order. Sure enough I got a cold sore on my lip. Before using this product due to stress or getting run down physically, especially after being sick I was regularly getting cold sores. Now, when using this I don't.

Whenever I feel a cold sore come on, I take lysine. I find it helps with severity and cuts down the time of a col sore.

Good anti-viral

Be sure to take this on an empty stomach before a meal, being a single amino acid, it is better absorbed that way. I have been using this for years for its anti-viral properties. I take 2 a day at the first sign of a virus coming on.

Great in fighting viruses

I bought this product to help fight viruses. This includes the Covid virus, flu, and shingles. Thankfully at this point I have not needed to use it. I love that I have this product on hand so if any of my family members comes down with a virus I can give this to help them to make recovery quicker.

I gave it 5 stars, but it quickly defaulted to this screen as soon as I selected the first star. I think it is a great product. I have been taking it for quite some time for herpes simplex virus. With regular use, I find that it is a good preventative measure.
