Enterically coated is absolutely essential
As mentioned in the product review: "Unlike other similar products, Nattokinase 1500 is an enterically coated tablet. Each tablet passes through the stomach without being digested, where they are then absorbed into the blood stream via the small intestine". I think this is absolutely vital. Nattokinase is a fragile molecule and needs to get through the acid environment of the stomach unharmed. I don't understand why other manufacturers do not recognize this. Just wish they offer a product with Vitamin K removed.

Enteric-coated is best way, I think!
Enteric-coated to protect enzymes from stomach acid, otherwise these active proteisn get digested before they get to work. Altho there are two schools of thought on this matter of coating with natto, I believe in getting them intact to the small intestines. Enzymes are proteins, so HCl stomach acid will dissolve before they get to the small intestines; which should render them inactive as structure destroyed with denaturing, hence properties are different with structure change. I use Doctor's Best Serrapeptase because they are also enteric-coated, but for some reason Doctor's Best does NOT enteric-coat their nattokinase?? go figure? So, I continue to buy this excellent, albeit more expensive, natto.
