Perfect portable AC for small spaces. The Whynter ARC-1230WN cools quickly, runs quietly, and is easy to set up. Great value for the performance—highly recommended!

Great features for a great price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this portable AC ahead of time to get ready for the summer heat. My townhome gets directly hit by the sun and my fairly large living really heats up to 78+ degrees. I did a lot of research before buying this as I needed something that could cool a large space, has the dual hose technology, and is quiet. My partner works in the living room, and this will really help her cool down, while being able to take calls without interruption. The bonuses that this unit has to offer is the inverter and heater. For everything that this portable offers, the price is a steal.

Portable efficient and cold
I purchased this air conditioner last summer after being disappointed with another I purchased a few months before. The whynter unit cools my bedroom quickly and remains cool throughout the night. Very easy to set up as well .

Whynter Portable AC
Just bought the Whynter Portable AC, and so far,so good. It’s holding up well with the temperature. My only issue is the bulkiness of the hose that goes out into the window. It’s not as flexible as I thought it would be. Other than that, seems to be working well.

New AC UNIT
This is a very nice AC unit. Quieter than my previous DeLongia. Cools much quicker even on low or medium fan speed. Excellent product.

A wonderful option for all seasons!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are extremely satisfied with this unit. We purchased it to both heat & cool our recently enclosed porch. The unit can be controlled with an app on our phones. It cycles on & off (quietly) when the desired temperature is reached. The "hose-in-hose" design really facilitates maximum ventilation. The unit looks great! We were never able to enjoy our screened-in porch in the Spring pollen season. Now that it is enclosed, we can enjoy this beautiful climate-controlled area. We are SO happy with this Whynter portable air conditioner with heat!

Overall very happy with product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC has saved me from melting during the hot Sacramento summers (105*+). Can't cool an entire apartment on the really hot days (100+) but does a pretty good job when I am smart about other things (not using the oven, opening windows at night, closing window blinds). The inverter is noticeable and very helpful. The only thing I wish was different was the location of the drain; would be helpful if it was higher. Overall still worth the price 👍.

Read Thoroughly Before Installation & Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im excited to try out this portable AC unit in the summer time. I heard good things about this brand and like that it can accomodate 600 sq ft and cool the room quickly. I would recommend you read all the instructions thoroughly before you get started. Some steps are in seperate sections. After looking at reviews about leaking, I found the maintenance section that will hopefully prevent me from having issues. This unit is HEAVY! Be prepared to have 2 people lift this upstairs if it needs to go up. I opened the box and moved seperate sections piece by piece so it was lighter. Also planning to install a bug guard in the part that vents out the window since its just a big round opening.

Cools Quickly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit cools the area quickly and it's nice to have options for heating although I haven't tried it yet this year. Only thing is I wish I had the option not to dehumidify when the AC is on. So it loses one star because a feature like that is important to me. Otherwise I'm very happy with this unit so far!

Best Unit for the Price Range
Purchase for a 500 sqft apartment with ZERO insulation on the roof (just wood because it was built in the late 1950s). This unit tackles 100°F heat outside like nothing. Only caveat is that the exhaust connection has many gaps due to a lack of a silicone gasket (see images). Otherwise, it's a solid unit and I recommend to others.

Keeps a 7x7x10 server closet at 72 degrees.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit 4 months ago and waited to write this review. I am happy to say, this unit works perfect for the aspects of the server room we have. When looking into units, make sure you pay attention to the length of ducts. I made the mistake with this one for it didn't reach the ceiling vent but I was lucky to have a floor vent that I used instead. IT works perfect with the dual venting system. I am happy with this product and plan to keep buy when this product expires, which it will for it has a compressor. They don't last forever, just hope it isn't in the next few years.

Working well thus far! Extremely quiet!
Pretty great price considering everything this unit does and it's pretty quite as well! I've only had it for three days, but I've already had to use both the cooling and heating function and it does pretty well. I hope it's as energy efficient as it claims and continues to work as it is now! I'll update this review if there's anything to be concerned about over the course of my ownership.

Good features, cools quickly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it! This unit replaced a HiSense that had failed and been replaced several times. So far it's working perfectly, cools the room quickly, has a better energy rating than the one I replaced, and doesn't fill up with condensation like my previous unit. I'd suggest adding the Continuous feature to the remote and to the memory, and adding the swing setting to the remote, but these are minor inconveniences that don't detract from the unit's performance.

Provides a Cool Comfortable Sleep Environment!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the ARC-1230 as a supplemental Air Conditioner for the bedroom of our Florida home. With temperatures steadily around 100 degrees and intense humidity, our home AC couldn’t provide enough cooling power for a comfortable night sleep. We had tried a couple other similar AC units from other companies before but they were unable to accommodate our large room with high ceilings. Looks like the 3rd time is the Charm! This unit has no trouble cooling down our room and keeping it a constant 70 degrees all night. It came with everything needed to install the window vent. I especially like the dual, combined airflow feature of this vent. Overall I am pleased with this units performance and functionality. Highly recommend!

Read carefully
Used the unit all summer for AC without a condensate drain requirement. Tried heat feature in Fall only to learn that in the care and maintenance section of the instructions (not the setup or operation section) is the advisory that the drain tube must be hooked up in heat mode. Wet floor resulted of course. The drain tube provided isn't long enough to go out of a window so one assumes that a secondary discharge pump must be utilized to relay the overboard condensate out a window.
