I’m 10 weeks and have been sick to my stomach every single day, all day long. I thought it was just morning sickness, like I’ve had with my other pregnancies. However, one night it clicked. I didn’t take my prenatal to see if they were making me sick. And what do ya know. The next day I was completely fine. Not sick, not nauseous, not going to barf. I felt like my old self again. I’ve always used the Target brand up&up prenatal vitamins and have always been fine. Also, the strong orange smell is horrific. Why do we need scented vitamins? Wouldn’t recommend these to anyone.

Good for what i need

Smell like a creamsicle which I like, however these pills are huge. Plus side is that they’re soft gels so it makes it a little easier
1 reply from Nature Made team - 4 days ago
Thank you for sharing your concern about the size of the product. In most cases, drinking water or juice when taking a pill is enough to help you swallow comfortably. Unfortunately, this is not always the case, and again, we regret any inconvenience you may have experienced. Nature Made offers several formats of the products, such as gummies and tablets. You may be able to find an alternative product appropriate for your needs on our website at naturemade.com.

On to my third bottle

I’ve always bought this brand for my prenatal vitamins! I did have nausea during my first trimester, but I was able to keep these down when taking them at night. I personally don’t notice the fishy smell that others have mentioned, but every pregnancy is different. What works for me might not work for another momma, so definitely keep that in mind!

NEED PLAIN Vitamin - no orange please!

Great vitamin but Naturemade, you have to make it not flavored for the nauseous mamas out there. We are traumatized by the orange smell and taste and need the non orange ones back. PLEASE, we beg you, coming from 4 pregnant moms!!!! I bought another bottle of them thinking they were the same as the ones before and they were orange this time. I couldn’t even stand the smell even before I was pregnant, let alone when I was so nauseous. I wish o could return them for the original but I can’t find them anywhere.

Great For Pregnancy

Bought this when I found out I'm pregnant, looking for vitamins with simple clean ingredients. Not entirely sure I'd agree with other reviews about the taste when really it does what it's suppose to do. Maybe it's pregnancy but personally it tastes like lemons to me.

Preferred the old vitamins....

Loved these prenatals for my 1st pregnancy, until the orange scent pack was added! I feel like the orange scent pack taints the vitamins. I have to air out my prenatals for days, and wash the bottle, just to minimize the orange scent. But even then it still lingers a bit. I avoid artificial scents because they are endocrine disruptors, and now I'm basically ingesting them because the artificial scent is ON my vitamins from the scent pack. I get some women like it, but for those of us who don't why not continue to sell the old bottle that had no scent pack? Give us options of unscented vs orange scent, so neither woman has to sacrifice.

a man changed this recipe for the worst!

I've been taking these for years. As of 2025 a man changed the recipe!!!! It smells very strong of synthetic orange and fish. Every pregnant women knows to stay away from strong smells or their last meal will be revealed. I've lost many of pills this way and questioned if my body absorbed any nutrients before expelling. If they had unscented, I'd buy again but this synthetic orange flavor to mask the fish oil is for those with iron stomachs. Please be aware.

Orange scent now fishy??

First batch that I had in winter was great. The orange scent was nice. However my second batch smells and tastes like fish, which is not appealing.

It does have an orange smell which I didn’t realize when I got it. If you’re having terrible food/scent aversions, this may not be the best choice. But it does not affect the taste. I think the smell is nice, like orange candy or orange soda.

Excellent, well-rounded prenatal multivitamin!

Excellent, well-rounded prenatal multivitamin! I take this along with a choline supplement. I’m not sure why there’s so many negative reviews about the scent/flavor. It does have an orange scent when the bottle is opened, but unless you’re sucking on your vitamins after throwing them in your mouth, there’s no noticeable aftertaste in my opinion — and I’m someone who hates artificial orange. If the orange scent makes you nauseous. just hold your breath… the alternative would be unscented fish oil!

Who makes a scented PRENATAL?!

Seriously? Whose idea was this? I’ve been taking these same prenatals for over 5 years and I literally cannot begin to understand why someone decided to suddenly make them so strongly scented. Main customer base is already a population that is sensitive to smells!! I’ve tried airing them out and they still smell and taste terrible. Why???
1 reply from Consumer Affairs team - 3 months ago
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. An orange-scented pouch is included in our Prenatal Multi + DHA Softgels to help reduce the natural fishy odor of the DHA. Please know that the odor and taste do not affect the safety or potency of the product. We appreciate your comments and will share your feedback with our team.

Please bring back the original formula. The orange scent is hard to take in without feeling more nauseous. I have missed days taking the prenatal because I couldn't bare the scent. I hate to switch brands because I truly love you all; however, the orange scent is becoming unbearable in my first trimester.

Fishy Smell and Taste

The first month I bought this, there was absolutely no fishy smell or taste. The next time I bought it, the fish smell and taste was overwhelming to the point of throwing them away. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because that first month makes me think they would not be fishy everytime, I'm just not willing to chance it.

Wish it was unscented

I hate the orange scent. It’s gross, super artificial, not to mention nauseating during pregnancy. Otherwise it’s fine as a prenatal vitamin.
