A: Thank you for contacting IMUSA, the center gauge is known as the Pressure Regulator, this is what sets the pressure for the vessel and the “red pin” is known as the Safety Lock Pin, this is used as an indicator should the unit over pressurize, it will indicate too much pressure is found in the unit and needs to be taken off the heat and that the escapes should be inspected.

This is an inexpensive way to see whether or not pressure cooking is for you I love beans, hate the fact that I couldn't make them if I didn't think to soak some overnight. I was scared of the pressure cooker so I didn't want to invest in a top of the line product. I admit, it was frightening to make my first batch of bean soup. There is a lot of noise and hissing. it was worth it though. Huge pot of super tasty bean soup, from scratch, for less than $5 and 2 hours time (1 hr 40 minutes soak and 20 cooking). I'll try no soak next.

The seal does not work well so very little pressure can build up. It takes the same amount of time to cook products in a normal pot. I am disappointed because I used to love my old one.

I love this .it’s work well for my cooking esp cooking yellow peas and cooking fish until bone are soften. For cleaning Cooking fish is ok but after boiling pea inside of the pot a little bit stained. The Only what I worry about this is i have no spare parts for rubber seal and handles if when they spoil. Pls advise by imusa team.
