Q: Can you dunk a basket

A: I can not dunk on any system, but that doesn't mean YOU cannot. This system however, has a classic rim which is fixed and not necessarily designed for dunking. We do not recommend dunking on this one.

A: Yes, this system does come with a plastic base that you can fill with either water or sand to keep the unit upright.

A: You could yes, but then you could not ever empty it if need. We recommend filling the base with either sand or water.

Q: I wanted to buy one for my 10 yr old daughter to practice her game (beginner) but don’t know which is which. What are these numbers: 32”, 44”, 48” and 54” represent? The backboard or the height?

A: The different measurements that are listed are for the size of the backboard that comes with the unit. The backboard measurement is the measurement from left to right.

Q: I live in a condo complex, so I will have to move this system in and out of my garage very often. Is it easy to move (by one person)? Also, what is the total height at its shortest setting?

A: The base has a set of wheels that can be used to move the system easily. You will need to tip the system onto the wheels so you may need the help of one other person depending on how strong you are. The total height of the unit when at the lowest height setting measures approximately 9.5'.

The instructions do not make sense. Supplies do not match the instructions, there is no master supply list and it reads like they are google translated from another language. If you built one before you might be ok. You definitely need more than one person and a few different tools that are not included. I would have paid for it to be assembled if I knew it would be this weird. I haven’t tried adjusting the height of it’s easy I’ll come back and add a star but I doubt it will be easy.

The same bolts are called out in 2 places and a set of bolts is not called out anywhere. But the length difference of the bolts makes the application easy to decode. Also there is an extra piece not in the instructions that i believe is for strengthening the hoop. Makes it a little confusing. I think to use that piece you would need different nuts that aren’t provided.

This is a very basic hoop and I have no complaints about it. I didn't fill the base 100% and it blew over from high winds several times. The backboard eventually broke, but Lifetime's support replaced the backboard for free even though it was my fault. That's above and beyond.

Not gonna lie- seeing all the reviews about how great customer service is made me hesitant to purchase. I mean, why do so many people have to contact customer service?! Anyhow, the price was great when I bought it as the big Xmas present for my newly-turned 10 year-old. It took him and his dad about an hour, maybe 90 minutes, to put it together. So far, so good! We have really enjoyed playing ball on the driveway and he is definitely getting more outdoor time now. I am glad that I took the plunge and am reassured by all the reviews mentioning a positive experience with customer service. I read reviews like crazy, but don’t usually leave them. I felt I needed to on this one, though. Great purchase.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my nephew and after assembling it I found a small leak in the base. I contacted Ms Rodriquez in the warranty department and she quickly responded and sent me out a replacement. I will definitely consider purchasing products from Lifetime again in the future.
