Thinner by Conair Digital Glass Scale with LCD Display and Backlight: Electronic Personal Bathroom Scale, 400 lb Capacity

A: I have had a similar experience. The battery compartment seems to be the cause. The upper battery has shorted out four times. And I noted over the past week different weights.;Last week I weighed myself before I went to my TOPS club to weigh in. The calibrated TOPS SCALE said I weighed 3 pounds more than my home scale. Today i weighed about 40 times within an hour and with same clothing, I got about 35 different weight readings. I removed the battery cover and found that all 3 batteries were loose. I pushed them down so they were snug in place. I then . weighed again and the weight has been consistent. I have left battery cover off so I can check batteries. Perhaps the tapping on scale plus moisture on springs gets damaged. I remember reading multiple people saying Inconsistent weights. This could be their problem also.

A: when I have had issues with this scale, I called the conair customer service number (1-800-326-6247). They were able to help me troubleshoot.

A: Hi Mk351, Thanks for your question! This Weight Watchers Digital Glass Scale is designed and calibrated for human body weight, so it may not give accurate readings for small pets like a cat. If you’d like to try it, place the scale on a hard, flat surface, gently set your cat on it, and wait for the reading to stabilize. Results can vary due to movement and size. For consistent pet weight tracking, a scale specifically made for animals (such as a pet or kitchen scale with appropriate capacity and sensitivity) is usually a better fit.

A: Hi Mk351, I recommend weighing yourself holding the cat, and again without the cat then subtract the difference to find the weight of the cat. Good luck!

A: Twist the round plastic cover to the battery compartment. Then lift it out. Very easy to pull out the old battery and drop in a new one.

A: It is silet. No beep or other sound.

A: This scale is silent.

A: once the weight has been recorded, the results will stay on the screen for a couple of seconds.

A: Yes, about 10 seconds.

A: Hi Ann, This is not a bluetooth compatible scale. Thank you!

A: For the Weight Watchers Digital Glass Scale with LCD Display and Backlight Clear, 400 lb Capacity, the scale requires a light tap with your foot to turn it on, then you step on once it displays “0.0” it does not activate by stepping on alone. It is completely silent and does not beep, and there is no sound to disable.

A: Most standard digital bathroom scales, including the Weight Watchers model you mentioned, are designed to distribute weight across multiple sensors located at the corners of the platform. If you step on the scale with only one leg, the weight may not be evenly distributed, which can cause inaccurate readings or even failure to register.
