Q: I bought the blue unflavored powder and thought it was suppose to contain hyaluronic acid - but it does not. Is my container defective? Also, was this container suppose to include a measuring cup?

    Taste gross

    I can definitely taste this and it does not taste good and it changes the flavor of the beverage. As well as it does not mix well. I also think 4 tablespoons is a bit much. I probably won’t buy this again.

    I like the product; I don't like the container!

    I use your Marine Collagen and have for a few years. I was purchasing the bovine based collagen, but my cholesterol went up slightly. It was then I switched to the Marine Collagen and glad I did. I am 82 years old and find it difficult to understand and open the new container. I just received my order today and used a sharp paring knife to see if I could get ahold of the buried tab to open it. Your instructions need to be better, or you need to design a better container. I understand the choice to lean away from plastic, but the design is not good. Luckily, I saved an old container with the screw lid and can dump it into that for use, after I destroy the new container getting it open. My daughter gave me a scoop since none of mine ever came with a scoop! Can you do better for the consumer??

    Packaging is a nightmare

    Two things. While I appreciate sustainability in packaging, this is absolutely impossible to open. Last night, the entire container fell on the floor and I lost most of the product just in trying to get it opened! Secondly, I didn’t realize this is NOT a complete protein so it does not replace protein in your diet.

    Good product - packaging is awful

    I like the product - it seems to make a big difference in my nails, and is a good way to sneak in some extra protein. I'm happy I've still got one of the old plastic containers to re-use, though, because it's kind of a nightmare getting the new package opened. No way are my fingers strong enough to pull it open - I use pliers to fight with it and shred the whole lid. Please change it!!

    Positive review so far

    I put it in my morning coffee. It blends really well and there is no taste. I've only been using this collagen for about 2 months so I think it's too early to really notice a difference. The only problem is that I can't find this exact type (advanced with hyaluronic acid and vitamin c) in the stores so I have only been able to purchase it online.

    Not impressed with packaging or the reduced size!

    This new paper container is ridiculous! It is difficult to open. My wife prefers the original plastic container with the screw on lid/top. Additionally her first purchase was 20 ounces and this on is 14.3. A 30% reduction.

    For those taking care of ourselves

    I have been taking this product for years. I mix in my “morning mud” (beet juice , flax , broccoli sprouts etc etc). I believe I am stronger and my bones are stronger. Kudos to the company for eliminating the plastic in our world. I take several powders and recommend to the companies to eliminate the scoops. For those of use taking care of ourselves we don’t need more plastic.

    Skepticism Out The Window!

    Almost 1 month taking Vital Protein Advanced. Purchased the Advanced for the type II collagen for joints. As of today I recommend this 110%! Is there a doubt in my head? I would be lying if I said no. The research and reviews I have read helped me make my decision to purchase. But still skeptical. But the change in the feeling of my knees is like night and day. I take my daily supplement in my cappuccino each morning. Mix with my frother and drink up. About time to order for the next month and I pray that the Advanced formula continues to shatter the doubts in my head!

    I love this product, been using it for a year now and I can absolutely see a difference in my skin and joints. I know a lot of people don't like the packaging, and at first I didn't like it either but by my second container I got the hang of how to open it and I actually really appreciate the effort to be more environmentally friendly!     Great product may not be able to open it though

    Great product. Terrible packaging. If you have any loss of hand strength or dexterity you may not be able the container or will be need pliers or a hacksaw. I ruined the container and had to put in canister. I expect they will respond with an automated message about listening to the customer and taking their feedback seriously. They won't. It's a cost savings measure.

    Need easier packaging

    Something is different not in a good way

    I’ve used this collagen powder for a couple of years & found it to dissolve easily & was basically unnoticeable in coffee. The latest I bought was different (awful) it doesn’t dissolve it clouds the coffee, leaves a froth on top, and it tastes & smells bad. Whatever changed has made me look for a different collagen. Please change it back.
