I prefer these to the name brand. They aren’t chalky and have a pleasant taste.

They’ve changed the recipe on these. They are gross. They have a gritty consistency that they didn’t used to have and a bad chemical taste. It’s very different from the previous up & up copy cat. They need to go back to the old version. I won’t buy the store brand from Target anymore.

Gets the job done but the texture is awful. If textures bother you, definitely splurge for name brand.

New formula makes these absolutely horrible. They taste horrible and they turn to mush

I have been buying these for years, they were my favorite antacids until they changed the formula. I thought they just changed the label because they were names the exact same as the old white label. But oh no, they have different ingredients and taste horrible! The old ones use to melt in my mouth but the new ones are kind of chewy and have a strange texture when you chew them. So gross. DO NOT BUY if you are looking for the original, you’ll be disappointed.

I actually came to read reviews because I’ve been using these for several years and loved them and was very concerned after eating one. Something changed! Just ate one and I’m pregnant, the texture almost made me throw up! It’s like a stale razzle candy that sticks to your teeth. Why did they feel the need to change an excellent product? Same thing happened with their baby wipe brand! Please if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. These will be going in the garbage.

These taste awful. They are not even close to tasting as good as Tums Peppermint flavor, and have few of the same ingredients. These taste like rotten lemons with a side of mint.

This item had been kosher certified for ages. It is no longer kosher certified. Kosher consumer beware. I am returning this product to the store.

I have to say I feel better reading these reviews because I thought it was me or a bad batch. These are absolutely disgusting. I have been taking these for years and unfortunately I dropped my last stash on the ground. No big deal, just grab a new bottle. I wish I would have kept the dirty ground ones because they would have been better! This new formula is unlike anything…no mint flavor (they used to be strong), an odd texture that is like chewy, sticky and squeaky. It’s like they’re soft but dry but also get stick in your teeth. But the cherry on top is they don’t even work. Target, please pull these off the shelf ASAP. Bring back the old formula or just get rid of these, please because I’d rather eat dirty floor tablets than this garbage.

We purchase these specifically for our daughter because they do not contain talc. Thank you for a better option.

target has clearly reformulated their off brand tums since the last time i bought them. do. not. buy. them. i saw them on the shelf and thought: - look at that price difference. what a bargain. - people said they taste bad now but how bad can they be, really? for context: - i consume many antacids regularly, including tums and pepto. when it comes to GI stuff, i’m a certified pro. - i’ve had malört in chicago bars before. surely these target brand tums can’t be worse that that? (for the uninitiated, malört is a de facto city-wide hazing ritual that tastes like pencil shavings and room-temperature trash juice) i bought the target brand tums and tried one (1) and they were BAD. like crunchy, flakey, textured, semi-chewable rock. i don’t know if it’s specifically the flavor (bad) or the texture (double bad) or the after taste (also, impressively bad) but it’s all bad. don’t buy them.

These are priced very reasonably compared to the name brand and they taste and work just as well.

The new formula for this antacid is horrible!! I liked the peppermint flavor from the previous formula. This one doesn't have a good mint flavor and it has some kind of coating that is sticky. It also doesn't help the heartburn like the previous formula did.

Tastes yucky and makes me feel yucky. I wish I had bought the brand-name antacid.
