Sun Safety Directions: Apply 1 oz liberally. Wait 15 min. 2h. Reapply. Cover up! Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating ; immediately after towel drying; at least every 2 hours. Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.

Our Sun Protection products are effective for an average of 3 years from the date of manufacture.
Follow these instructions for interpreting the manufacture date:
Locate the manufacturer’s date code that is embossed on the crimped edge of the tube, opposite the opening or cap.
The first two numbers represent the last two digits of the year of manufacture, followed by three numbers representing the day of the year. The rest of the numbers or letters are for our internal use
For example, a date code that begins with 21031 would indicate the product was manufactured in the year 2021 on the 31st day of the year. Add three years to the date code year and this will give you the end of its shelf life. In this example, it would be 2024 on the 31st day (January 31). Since mid 2018 the expiration date has been added to our products in the MM/YYYY format.

it's cheap, effective, light weighted. It doesn't have any white cast and it's even safe for my eyes. The scent is kind of unpleasant though. It smells like watermelon perfume but the smell dissipates really fast. In general I would repurchase this.

Wonderful daily sunscreen
We absolutely love this sunscreen! It feels light and comfortable on the skin,non sticky,dries down quickly,doesn't sting the eyes should you choose to use it on the face (my husband does,I do not) This lotion has very slight fragrance. Soft and clean. We've repurchased it again and again. It's a staple, though we rarely see it in store. I would adore a larger sized bottle with a pump! Banana Boat has some real winners in its roster. It's an OG classic for good reason.

Clogs pores and causes pimples
I got this because the face version has been discontinued. This non-face version caused my face to break out. It's unfortunate that uninformed people are spreading misinformation based on the ingredient list between the face and non-face versions being the same. The formulation of the face version minimizes clogging pores despite the same ingredients. This misinformation may have caused sales to be low resulting in the face version being discontinued. If you made 2 pizzas with the same ingredients but one had 1 drop of cheese and only one piece of pepperoni, then are they really the same? How about 2 coffees but half of one is creamer with a lot more sugar? If you're acne prone, then don't put this on your face.

I tried this because the face version has been discontinued. It gave me pimples. The face version did not. Despite having the same ingredients, it's mixed together differently enough to behave differently on your face. If your face is prone to getting pimples then avoid using this on your face.

Best fungal-acne safe SPF!
Best sunscreen I have ever tried and I've tried way too many at this point. Korean sunscreens are very hyped up but I always found them too greasy and dewy for my oily skin. This Banana boat SPF is so lightweight and just absorbs beautifully into skin. It has never once pilled on me or gave any white cast. My eyes are sensitive but I've never had any irritation with this sunscreen either. This SPF is also malesezzia safe so it's great for those with fungal acne, seb derm, etc. I've never had an SPF that ticked all my boxes like this one does. The fragrance is so light that I don't even mind it; it's very on theme during the summer lol. The price is great for the amount of product you get as well. My only gripe is how difficult it is to find this product in stores. I've hit up so many pharmacies and cannot find this!! I regret not stocking up before when I was able to find this in store.

Best sunscreen I've used for everyday wear. It dries light and NOT sticky/tacky. If there is a light scent, I do not notice it, and I am very " scent"sitive to perfumed skin products and avoid them like the plague. BB's Light As Air Lotion is my daily go-to. I highly recommend it.

I have dry skin, I am in my late 30's and live in a tempered but dry state. I love this product a lot. It does not affect my skin at all and is gentle enough for my highly reactive skin. I am very fair and have never gotten sun burned with this sunscreen in hand. I can apply this properly all the way around my eyes and it does not travel or sting the eyes through out the day; I reapply every 2 hours. The application is comfortable, and the finish is enjoyable. As someone that cannot use mineral sunscreen due to their astringent nature I highly recommend this as an alternative. I would like to see a fragrance free version; the fragrance is light and goes away quickly, I just prefer no fragrance in my skin care products. I hope this product stays on the shelf FOREVER.

Incredible US formula
Probably the best sunscreen I have ever used from the US, and even better than a lot I have tried from overseas. Especially considering the limitations of the filters available in the US, Banana Boat absolutely knocked it out of the park with this formula. It's lightweight, dries down completely, leaves no shine (but doesn't make the skin look flat and dry either), and has no white cast, streakiness, stickiness or greasiness. People who love sunscreen will love it as an example of a phenomenal formula, and people who hate sunscreen will love it because it feels like a different product entirely. I wish they still sold the 3oz facial version because it's more travel-friendly, but in the meantime I will happily buy tube after tube of the big ones. Please keep making it forever!

This wonderful sunscreen can't travel through TSA because the tube size is too big. Inexplicably, BB discontinued the Light as Air face version, which did meet TSA limits. Please offer a 3oz or less version of Light as Air.

Of the common big brand names for reasonable prices, this sun screen has the best non-greasy finish. Bought it on a whim and so glad I did, won't be buying anything for body sunscreen so long as this is around!
