  • A: Dial soap of any variety has not contained triclocarban or triclosan for some time. As far as I've seen, the active ingredient in all Dial antibacterial soaps is benzalkonium chloride.

Dial Bar Soap

I’ve used dial gold bar soap all of my life. It’s disappointing that the bar gets smaller and the price goes higher, but it’s antibacterial and it seems to work for us.

Bring back the old formula! Dissolves and gets mushy and does not feel good on the skin.

I've been using Gold Dial for many years and the new formula is TERRIBLE. The soap gets mushy after just a few uses and then dissolves quickly. It feels terrible on your skin. Please go back to the old formulation. You stood out before, and now you're just like all of the rest. What brilliant person decided to change a 100+ year successful product??

Horrible new formula

I’m glad to think that I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the new formula. I experienced dry patches on my body and irritation on certain areas. After so many years of using this so disappointed.

Need my Dial Gold back please

I hate this reformulated Dial bar soap. Please bring back the old Dial Gold. I've been using it since I was 14 because of skin itching, almost 60 years. The new Dial Advanced Clean has a most disagreeable odor and is horrible for my skin. I bought a package unknowingly of the changed product and threw it away. You have lost a long time user of all your soaps. I was faithful. Why weren't you?

Bad Formula Change

Whatever the formula change was that happened in the last few months, the new version is a massive step in the wrong direction. I have broken out in Dermatitis rashes in multiple spots due to this new formula, it leaves a very thick white residue on everything the suds touch, and it smells nothing like the old gold bar (the new scent does not smell nice either). Please do something to move back closer to what Gold Dial has been in the past!
