Sealy Butterfly Breathable Knit Crib and Toddler Mattress: Firm, Hypoallergenic, Waterproof Cover, High-Density Foam

This crib mattress is decent enough, especially for the price point. This seems to be pretty standard for what you’ll get unless you jump into the “luxury” mattresses like a newton. It’s firm enough that I am not concerned if my baby sleeps on their belly. The description says there is an infant side and a toddler side. It’s just a piece of moderately dense foam with a cover. On side of the cover is more like a waterproof mattress cover and the other side is just a fine mesh. Not sure if they are suggesting the cover itself is supposed to make the foam more solid or something? So that is a bit misleading. Also, putting my face up against it, it’s not breathable in the sense of being able to breathe through it like a Newton crib mattress. It is breathable in the sense of its foam so it should keep cool vs a pillow top mattress or something similar. It also does have about a 2in gap length wise in a standard size crib. Not the end of the world, nothing will happen with that so definitely safe, but just noteworthy. Width wise it fills a standard size crib well, no gapping. I have a newton mattress. Bought it when my first was born. It is amazing and I definitely think it’s worth the investment. It’s held up perfectly through years of use. I got this one to toss in the crib downstairs in case my fiends/family needed a space to put their baby down as well when they come visit but I didn’t want to invest in another newton for the frequency this will be used. It serves my purpose well and I’m happy with the purchase. That being said, if it’s your first, consider investing in a higher end crib mattress vs this one. I can see this one not holding up for years of daily use since it’s literally just some dense foam. Photos added to show the two sides of the cover I mentioned. The set up was super easy first you unroll and then let it expand for 48 hours. My baby loves it. It can fit in a crib or twin platform bed. It also comes with a cover five stars all around.

It has a great feel and super comfortable as it has a mild firmness but not to firm-its just right! It has a great washable cover woth nice breathable material that's very easy to zipper on and off! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got the crib mattress from Sealy. The mattress came in vacuum sealed but the fluffed up really quick. It comes with a waterproof cover which I love! The firmness is just right for my baby!

Mattress is supposed to be 5 inches according to specifications. We measured multiple times after our baby hit head on a piece of wood in the crib. It’s 4inches barely so it did not fit our crib in height and baby hit head on wood side that we didn’t realize mattress didn’t cover in height so we will be returning. It also wasn’t as firm as hoping. Measurement specifications should be accurate for buyers.

The mattress itself is very breathable, but the cover it came with on top of the mattress is not breathable at allllll

I got this mattress and it seems great so far. I'm still expecting so haven't tried it out yet but it arrived and unrolled ok and was not lopsided. It didn't have a smell either. I was happy with my purchase.

Looked for a while for a mattress with no springs and still has firmness. This mattress is perfect and she loves to sleep on it. The transition from the bassinet or co sleeping was wonderful.

I love it! My baby sleeps all night! It’s firm but not to firm! Planning on buying my older daughter one as well! It didn’t take long to get delivered.

Disappointed by the mattress. Based on the glowing reviews it's received, thought it would be much nicer. Expected it to be 5" thick as advertised, but it's only 4" high on the side that fully expanded. The other side is about an inch less. I also expected one side to be firmer and the other a bit softer, also as advertised and they're both the same firm feel. Shipping took longer than expected as well. Expected more from a Sealy. The pros are that I like the soft breathable cover. Sadly, I am considering returning since it hasn't met my expectations from the specifications.

Purchased this mattress for my 19 month old. We loved it so much Thayer I purchased the same one for my newborn baby girl. Great quality great comfort affordable price!

This matress is the best crib mattress I have ever used. It's super soft. It keeps my child from bouncing around at night. Now he sleeps soundly and doesn't wake up in the middle of the night. Wonderful!
