Q: does it shread cheese and can you make fries with it

A: It does shred cheese. Be sure that your cheese is cold, you can put it in the freezer for a few minutes for best results. You can not make french fries.
submitted byContent - 5 years agoA: This does shred cheese, but it's best to use hard cheese or cheese that has been slightly frozen for best results. You can not make fries with it, but you can grate your potato for hash-browns.

Great for cheese but not for much else
It is great for cheese of all kinds, but I have not had much luck with most else. The tube is too narrow for one. You have to slice vegetables thin enough to fit through. But if they have peel, it just smooshes around. Cucumbers, onions, peppers, etc. have not worked. The picture on the box and in the advertisement shows a beautiful salad with fully sliced cucumbers, etc but they just don't go through the chute whole and none of the grinders/slicers seem to cut through them. Carrots and cheese work. I like it for the cheese. Works great for cheese.

I love this grater so much! It makes shredding cheese a breeze! For someone who has a lot of issues with her hands this helps me out so much! No more chopping my veggies or hand shredding cheese! Everyone needs this in their kitchen!

I wanted this to work well but it didn’t, couldn’t chop vegetables and they got caught up in it, even mushrooms were not easy, and zucchini in small amounts got stuck. Not worth it, try another one.

Warning California P65 chemicals cause cancer
I returned this item because the packing slip at the bottom of the packing box has a special sticker WARNING this product contains chemicals known to cause cancer. P65 warning in California. This warning should have been in the description on the website.
