Cutting them in half may affect the way the product is metabolized and/or absorbed in the body. For example, a tablet that is cut in half could contain a higher concentration of the active ingredient in one piece than in the other. The only way to guarantee that the appropriate dosage is consumed and absorbed is to use the whole tablet.
