Does the job
I lost a lot of my cookware in the flood last Sept. I needed this to fil the slot. It’s fine and I’ll find lots of uses for it. Great size .

Lid knob cracked and fell apart
I really like the Smart Control cookware, I bought a whole base set and a couple of extras. But the vent knobs are of questionable quality. One of mine cracked down the middle under normal use and fell apart. Someo f the other seem to be loose but I'm afraid to try and tighten the screw that holds them together for fear of another one cracking. Now I have a pot with NO lid because they don't appear to sell replacement lids or parts for the Smart Control series.

DO NOT BUY.
I purchased this pot about three weeks ago. After a few times using, the finish started to chips away (as mentioned in the previous review) and you can use your nails scratch it out easily. I will not recommend this and will also return it. Even though the price is good, it is not worth the purchase

Great, for a short time
I gave this a 2 star rating because for about 3 weeks, it was the perfect pot. Great size and weight. Being Farberware, I felt good about the purchase. Several weeks after using(with all the right utensils), the finish seems to be chipping away. What happened to quality? Unfortunately, having used it for weeks and thinking this was going to be the answer to my cooking needs, I tossed the receipt out, just before Christmas. I don't know if I can get my money back.
