A: The clearance is just under 7 inches. However, I use my taller travel mug every day and just hold it at an angle. I love this machine!

Q: Is there any restrictions for the type of coffee you can use? Dark, medium. I know I had an $800 De’ Longhi that they said not to use dark because of the oiliness of the coffee.

I live alone and only make one cup of coffee at a time. Using fresh ground beans and a french press was a pain so I converted to instant coffee. Now that I have the single grind and brew I have the best cup of coffee, every cup. I use filtered water so the full rich taste of great freshly ground beans is even better. The unit is easy to use and maintain. It doesn't take up much space on my little kitchen counter and it looks good. I love it.

Was very excite because we love fresh ground coffee in the morning and more excited that when in a hurry we had one machine that would also do pods. But after the second cup using a pod the coffee pod exploded and if you ever had to clean up wet hot grounds all over the counter it was not pretty. We tried everything possible trying to convince ourselves were the the dumb ones. To no avail and returned the machine. The second one exploded on the first try. Thus our relationship with Cuisinart ended there.

I am in love with this coffee maker! I’m so happy I don’t need a separate grinder — the smell and taste of freshly ground coffee truly make me happy and bring me joy. The coffee tastes incredibly fresh, and the temperature comes out perfectly hot every time. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the coffee ground spillage that happens after grinding. I wish there were a cap or attachment that could be placed under the grinder after use, so the leftover grounds wouldn’t spill when brewing.

My wife bought this unit for me for our anniversary, to replace my poorly executed pour over coffee. I was skeptical at first that it would produce better results than I did, but to me delight, the machine does an excellent job! I have not used a standard k-cup in the machine, instead I have been grinding my own coffee into the reusable filter pod, which is convenient and easy! The different brew sizes mean that I can adjust my coffee strength to my liking, and I’ve even found I can double brew the smallest size into my large tumbler without it being too weak. I’m a convert! I can feel good about not killing the planet with extra plastic, and still enjoy the push button convenience! I get about 4 of the largest cups of coffee from the machine before having to refill the water reservoir, and I find that for one person, the hopper holds about a weeks worth of coffee, so there’s not too much fussing around in the morning rush.

I bought the single serve Cuisinart to replace the single serve Keurig I had that was already breaking down. I tell you, I like this one so much bette. It's easier to work with and I love the grinding feature and the little storage pocket on the side. It's a great coffee maker. I'll never buy the other K brand again. The Cuisinart is the one for me.

This coffee machine is causing compatible pods to explode inside, causing coffee grounds to flood the machine AND cup of coffee I am trying to drink. I maintain this machine by cleaning it, descaling it, and replacing the filters in a timely manner. This machine is a waste of money, as it doesn’t matter if you maintain it. Nothing is built to last anymore, even if you’re trying your best to take care of it. Beware this product. Make sure to buy it if you want to start off your morning with a mess and NO COFFEE.

This coffee maker, in theory, seemed like a gem. I should have read the reviews. The grinder did not auto-stop and threw coffee grounds everywhere. The grind is set at medium. I prefer a finer grind, for I love a dark, rich cup of coffee. This coffee was weak at best, with the manual recommendation to use less water. What! That's not an appropriate answer. I you're okay with a mess for a weak cup of coffee, this is the perfect machine.

I absolutely love this coffee machine. It’s so easy to use much smaller than my last grind and brew. Easy to clean looks good on my counter doesn’t take up much room. It makes hot delicious coffee fast. I am really happy with this machine. It gets a 5 in every category in
