A: Our enamel line is free of PFAS, PTFE and The safety of our products here at Lodge is of the utmost importance to our company and brand. Although our enamel products are manufactured in China, when looking for a partner, Lodge searched for only those that could meet our strictest standards that we have here in the USA. We have someone onsite that monitors the production of this cookware as well. Lodge uses third-party laboratories to perform random sample leachability testing on each of our product lines, and three of the largest retailers also do random sample testing of our products by other third-party laboratories. Additionally, Lodge has onsite inspection during and after production for each load. Our cookware not only meets but exceeds the testing requirements set forth by the FDA and Proposition 65.

A: It can be put in a dishwasher, but we recommend cleaning by hand, which will prevent it from rusting around rim, discoloration, and chipping.

However, some items such as the enamel are made specifically for Lodge by a partner company in China. We try in no way to disguise this as we are proud of any product that holds the Lodge name. After exhausting efforts to find any plant that would enamel bright colors in the United States, Lodge had to search overseas for a partner that could meet our quality standards. We happened to find those partners in China, and have worked directly and constantly with them. We work with a U.S. owned third-party inspection teams to ensure that quality is up to Lodge standards and that all partner companies comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations. The cookware is tested to ensure it surpasses all FDA and Proposition 65 regulations. We greatly appreciate your support!
