Avoid using 100% distilled water alone, and never add scented water, vinegar, or ironing aids. 📌 Bottom Line For optimal performance and lifespan, follow Electrolux’s guidance: either tap water or a 50/50 mix with distilled, depending on your tap-water hardness. Pure distilled water alone could actually harm your iron.

Do not purchase--quickly breaks down and horrible customer service
The steamer slowly broke down after a few uses. At first it started to take longer to steam and then would only work with the higher steaming mode. Soon after it stopped working altogether. I was outside of my return window at Target and reached out to the manufacturers, their lines are generally busy and mailbox too full to leave a voicemail. When I finally got ahold of someone they mentioned I could send the steamer in for a repair or replacement. It has been two months since I sent the steamer in and have not received any updates. Their unresponsiveness is disappointing as is the quality of the steamer. Do not purchase.

Amazing. Love it.
I bought the Electrolux compact steamer to use it for travel and home. I am very happy with this product. It is very practical and easy to use. It heats up quickly and produces a powerful steam that removes wrinkles from my clothes. It does not drip or spit water on my fabrics. It also makes my clothes smell fresh and clean. I even use it to steam my pillows and it makes them feel like they just came out of the dryer. The steamer is lightweight and has a long cord that allows me to reach different areas. It also comes with a fabric brush that helps smooth out the fibers. I would recommend this steamer to anyone who needs a fast and effective way to refresh their garments. It is a great value for the money.

Nice Looking, Disappointing Functionally
Water tank is small and gurgles even when properly full. Takes a lot of time to fill since the opening is oddly shaped and small. You need a funnel. The shape of the steamer makes it hard to work with. The steam doesn’t get hot enough to take out simple wrinkles in cotton. With the design of the unit, it makes it easier to burn yourself. It looks really nice, but I rather it work than look good. If it worked as well as it was visually designed it would be ace.
