Hot Wheels Ultra Hots 1:64 Scale Vehicle - Styles May Vary

Hot Wheels are just the best! These cars are way more durable than others and they always have the best models.

The models vary, but they have way better details than the average hot wheels, e.g., painted rears and fronts. Plus, the color is sparking, close enough to spectraflame.

This is what I ordered and wanted, but it is not what I got.

Target had me drive to the store to pick up a wrong item.

Wheels polish came off like within 2-3 days. It’s expensive car and should have better quality. My kid has some cheap cars and those didn’t loose any polish even after couple of months.

Came in bent up. You should sell them by the case and you would sell more

These are really cute. My son likes the retro style and they seem to be a step up from the normal hot wheels he's used to. They feel and look a bit "fancier."

My son (and husband!) love these cars. They are high quality like other Hot Wheels, if not a bit more substantial. Great designs and fun to collect.

ultra hots classic car

I bought these online since the selection at my 3 local Targets is usually abyssmal. Despite the fact 24 unique and different 'Ultra Hots' cars are available, there are typically only 3 or 4 different models for sale at actual Target stores. Not too surprisingly, these are nearly always the same handful of cars which are apparently either 1) the least popular 2) the least collectable 3) the least 'resellable' or 4) all of the above. Fully realizing that ordering the maximum quantity of 10 online was no guarantee of receiving a better selection out of 24 possible models, the odds certainly seemed better than the usual in-store selection. In any case, if anyone else was wondering about this, I am sorry to say that in my case, not only did I receive the same few models the retail stores have, but just got MORE of them!!! (Please see picture.) Maybe these are truly packed at random by automatic sorting machines at the Target warehouse, but I find it inexcusable to send 4 of the identical car! Of the remaining 6 cars, I received duplicates of 3 other models (totaling 6 added to the 4 duplicates) which made up the total order. The net result was that out of 24 possible unique cars, I received a mere 4 unique models in my order of 10 cars. Furthermore, the 4 models I did get are among the ones available at my local Target 3 miles away. I am therefore very disappointed in this order from Target.com. This review does NOT apply to Mattel or these particular Hot Wheels products. The 4 different cars received are great fun and look terrific! - I just did not want or need more than 1 of each car - and certainly not FOUR identical Dodge Chargers, despite being a favorite. In any case: BUYER BEWARE - 'Styles may Vary" in this case most likely means: 'Styles may vary within a small selection from among the leftover cars that didn't sell in our retail stores.' Perhaps I just had some bad luck but I hope this lengthy review is helpful to others who may be considering a similar purchase. The extras will be donated to charity. Thanks for reading.

These care are packaged like the regular hotwheel cars but they are twice the price - uggh. It felt like a ploy for me to accidently buy the more expensive car.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ultra retro hot wheels are like standard hot wheels but way more detailed to match the card they come with. The paint and small details like the front and back license plates are colored and lettered. Definitely a great addition to my sons collection.

Although it’s not technically a premium grade Hot Wheels for the adult collector, the level of detail and quality on this product is pretty high. The Honda Civic Si has full tampos wrapped around the casting, including headlight, tail light, and emblem details. The styling of the car and card art is period correct to the Ultra Hots line, which is a nice touch. I wish this line came in a premium variety with Metal/Metal construction and Real Rider wheels.
