Good for spaces, not so much for larger shoed familes
Torn between 3 and 4 stars. I do wish it had one shelf more. Great for a smaller space. Probably better for people with smaller shoes. For perspective shoes on rack are men’s size 13/14, women’s 10 and kids 6. We might be able to fit about 6-7 pairs of shoes. Directions are very simple and easy to follow, but it’s the Allen wrench style which can be uncomfortable and harder for some people with arthritis or disabilities. The product smells a bit strong of whatever they used to finish/seal the wood but I expect it will fade away pretty quickly. I do wish there we screw covers to give is a more finished look. My plan was to put a couple plants on top but I’m not sure if it’ll hold the weight of clay or ceramic pots. I don’t think the quality 100% syncs with the price point, even being bamboo. I’d recommend for smaller spaces like apt or dorm room (maybe let it air out outside a bit if you are sensitive to smells) but for a larger family, especially with larger shoes maybe not.

BEWARE of splinters! Flimsy & cheap, too.
Do not brush off the reviews about splinters! I thought I would just be careful and got one of the most stubborn awful splinters in my thumb while making this. And on top of that, it’s incredibly flimsy and lightweight. I don’t know how it would hold 12 pairs of shoes. While simply removing the pieces from the package, you can already tell that the glue holding the top bit together will fail quickly, as well. It is cute and looks as pictured, and easy to assemble if you ignore the splinters—I’ll give it that! But the wood is unfinished properly and dangerous. I will be returning it despite building it completely. This is a terrible product and I am shocked it has not been discontinued.

So many splinters
Looks good but it has SOOO many splinters just waiting to happen. I got one in my palm. Seems sturdy enough, but it feels more like laminate wood rather than a soft bamboo. Would not spend $55 on this again. Honestly, I would get the metal one with a wood top if I hadn’t already fully assembled this.

It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. It's cute for the entryway of the house, and the little tray style table at the top is perfect for our plant and catchall. it fits about 9 pairs of shoes, and we even put our slides and flip-flops under it. Super easy to assemble, and screws go into grooves so that they aren't sticking out like an eyesore. Pretty sturdy, too. It's definitely an upgrade from the little shoe cubby we had before, so I'm quite content with it.

Not worth it!
It’s cute and everything, I didn’t have any issues with the screws like some other reviews said. It is really cheap quality for $55 and the wood is like peeling off of it. I got a splinter while I was putting it together which really didn’t sit well with me because I have a little dog. Other than that, it was a little too small for me.
