Description

Conventional salt & pepper mills often create mess by leaving excess grounds on surfaces when placed down. The simple, elegant design of Milltop Wood avoids this problem as the grinding mechanism is at the top of the mill, which means any excess grounds fall back inside the unit after use. To use, simply hold the mill at an angle and twist the base to grind and to adjust the grinding size, rotate the stainless-steel top. Made from beautiful, natural beech wood, the design also features a tough, ceramic grinding mechanism and is very easy to fill via a twist-off base. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Poor quality unfinished product

Bought the salt and pepper mill - the latter was smooth and well finished but the salt mill was a different product altogether. This was very rough in the hand and with constant use I think you’d get splinters. Clearly this shouldn’t have passed the QA process and was poor for the money given the pepper mill’s finish.

The colour of the wood

The colour of the wood on the top part of the mill was a different colour from the bottom half. The salt & pepper mills were loose in the box of products ordered. They were just put in plastic bags that were already open so there was no protection for the items. I returned them because they weren’t as expected. I had also bought the green/white salt & pepper set which did come individually wrapped in a box.

Expensive, attractive and useful grinder

Very expensive but also very effective, attractive and easy to use. Indeed, no salt/pepper on the surface where they are on.

Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for people, like my husband, who have problems with their hands and can’t twist mills. It is much easier than any other mills we have used. It also has the benefit of sprinkling from the top - it doesn’t leave a mess on the table!
