Description

It cools the air down to 61 degrees Fahrenheit, dehumidifies up to 50 pints every 24 hours, and circulates air with 3 fan settings to stand up to summer heat in rooms up to 150 sq. ft. Additionally, this personal air conditioner offers immediate, uninterrupted comfort with its up and down auto air swing. This AC unit features easy-to-use LED electronic controls and is quiet while you sleep, 52dB on highest setting. This unit comes with four rolling castors and side carrying handles for easy-to maneuver mobile comfort and everything needed for an effortless installation. Window kit with this air conditioner includes foam seal, slider bracket, 5.9 inch diameter air exhaust hose, hose inlet and outlet, 2 locking screws and drain hose. Keeps a room, home, bedroom, apartment, dorm or garage comfy during the summer months when the heat sets in. Works in double hung or sliding windows only, no crank windows. To minimize noise and vibration, portable AC air conditioner should be placed on a firm floor. For safe and secure positioning, place portable AC unit on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit. For a better cooling, make sure all the windows and doors are closed. Connect the duct and make sure it can function properly. Also note that, mirco processor control delays the compressor from operating until 3 mins have passed. Q: Do you have to necessarily use the vent tube, or can you run it in doors without venting?

  • A: Hey there, The Black & Decker BPP10WTB portable air conditioner requires the exhaust hose to be connected during operation in Cool, Dehumidify, or Heat modes. Running it without the venting hose in these modes is not recommended, as it can lead to reduced cooling efficiency and potential overheating of the unit. Mans.io +3 ManualsFile +3 Mans.io +3 However, in Fan mode, the exhaust hose is not necessary. This mode circulates air without cooling or heating, so you can operate the unit indoors without venting.     The air conditioner has clearly been returned previously and it is missing the instruction manual for installation. I don’t trust an opened product when I paid this much for it. It’s frustrating and will be a challenge to return considering the weight and size. It also arrived a full week after the expected delivery date.

    Reburbished?

    Waiting to plug it in to ensure the oil has settled from shipping. However, this arrived with 2 remotes & no manual. The exhaust tube smells strongly of dead fish (offgassing/new product smells never bother me; this truly smells like something dead but there's nothing in the tube). The bottom foam inside the box was also crushed/badly damages. Hoping it works. 3 stars because I haven't gotten a chance to try it, but concerned this isn't a new item as advertised.

    Perfect supplement

    This is a perfect supplement to a whole house central air system that doesn’t make it to my bedroom. Unit works fast to cool a 12 x 12 room. Set up was easy. I like that I can open the top part of my window to allow fresh air in the house during the cooler days because this unit does not hog up the whole window. Unit is louder than expected but to me it’s white noise and helps me get to sleep.

    An excellent choice of portable AC units for our bedroom. (400 sq. ft.) Easy setup just like they said. Attractive design and keeps us cool all night. We really like the timer which saves on electricity too

    Not cool enough

    My only complaint is I need to keep the model on all night. It's not cool enough to keep the room cool when only a fan goes on.

    Not as cold as I was hoping

    I bought this a few weeks ago. I do like the product a lot but it feels like the air is not as cold as I would like even at the lowest setting. The device also turns off randomly when I have it set to dehumidifier and I'm not sure why.
