Smashbox Halo Tinted Moisturizer - Ulta Beauty

So I got this product in some type of Ipsy box or a sample trial size and never had really used it until recently when I got tired of my foundations being cakey and not looking natural & with it being summer looking for something light. . I’m usually a full coverage girly but honestly i wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to use it. I love this stuff. It gives you the perfect base that blends in well( I use my hands and then go in with a damp beauty blender) This gives me the perfect glow with light/medium coverage(I only have a couple breakouts usually in my jaw line which is what I like to cover), I use my concealer & then contour/bronze and it blends together so good that I don’t mind not having full coverage. The price was holding me back cause of it being $20 for the 0.4 fl oz but I think it’s worst the purchase, a little goes a long way and lasts me a good bit!

Nowhere in the title does it state SPF or sunscreen. It’s buried part way down the ‘highlights’ section where it’s really easy to miss. The listing does not indicate the type of sunscreen and provides no ingredients and no drug facts. Had I known it contained octinoxate, I’d never have purchased it. Other than that, it’s lightweight and the color seems about right (got medium light for my neutral/olive tone). It reaches a completely dry finish quickly but stays a bit dewy looking. I used it without primer to see how my pores would look and found that while it does not blur them, it also does not emphasize them which is really all I ask. If they’d drop the chemical sunscreen and or offer a non-spf version, I’d buy this product.

Blends beautifully into the skin and moisturize without leaving skin feeling wet or sticky. I like to mix a little bit with my primer and foundation and use that alone.

This tinted moisturizer has is a sunscreen with a light tint and very moisturizing. I like to wear it alone or blend it with a foundation for a more natural color. It is my go to.

I can only pray that this never gets changed/discontinued! I FINALLY found my holy grail. I’m all for the “no make up” makeup look where I can just throw myself together. I’m shocked at how easy this is to apply and how much it actually covers. It hides my insecurities but yet still look natural. It has the perfect amount of glow as it gives a nice radiant natural glow. I’ve tried numerous skin tints and this by far is my favorite. The ultimate test was handling the humidity and after a day of running errands in 107 heat feel, my skin still looked beautiful by the end of the day. And for my fair skin red head complexion, having the SPF is a must. It’s literally the all around perfect skin tint. I keep catching myself glimpsing at the mirror because I’m just shook at how beautiful my skin is with almost zero effort!

Light feel /touch but good coverage - exactly what I wanted. Spreads smoothly.

This is the best tinted moisturizer. I’m on my fourth one.

This tinted moisturizer is very thick. Even a little bit of product gives your whole face a heavy sticky feeling. If you are looking for something with a lightweight feel this is not the product for you.

This work for me I like the formula. It’s dry fast goes on great. My daughter like mine so much I had to take her to get her own lol. We both have dry sensitive skin. NO complaints!

Great tinted moisturizer. One of my favorites and I’ve tried them all! Gives your skin a dewy sheen without feeling greasy or sticky! Good coverage.

It was great until I had an allergic reaction to the product. Great coverage but the red bumps, itchiness, and breakouts was not worth it.

The coverage is buildable and perfect for my combination skin!

It’s okay, but not great and not worth the price. Been experimenting with different brands for years now on moisture tints, and this one just doesn’t feel as smooth when applying or after applying. Layers on weird… it does provide coverage but it feels more thick and cakey. For this price, would opt for Bare Minerals or Laura Mercier.

This is so easy to apply and blend beautifully, leaves a bit of a shine but it tones down aster a while, great product for lazy days you don’t wanna do full face make up and just wanna add a bit of color

This is smooth and I am mixing it with foundation for some incredible coverage. I took a chance ordering this and Smashbox DELIVERS!

This tinted moisturizer gives a nice tint to the skin with a quick application. I rub the product in with my hands, set it with setting powder and call it a day

Honestly not impressed. First off I ordered Light Neutral and it’s kind of dark and orange. I’m pretty much “light neutral” in most things and most brands if they have that. But I can forgive that as maybe I just need a different color. However, I have dry skin and this is SO STICKY! I can’t finish the rest of my face without immediately powdering this or it moves. And even with powder and setting spray it’s all worn off and blotchy in a few hours. Looks awful. I bought based on some good reviews but doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried with different primers and different ways of setting and all. Bought on 50% off sale and will be returning.
