  • A: 1 cup water 1/3 cup vegetable oil 3 eggs However, I have previously used milk instead of water and an extra egg for the strawberry cake mix to make a more moist cake. I will be trying with this cake.

    Taste was wonderful! I only use Betty Crocker mixes!! When I baked this (13x9) it only rose to have the size of your other flavors even though it shows the same weight. It was still light and fluffy but was just half the thickness. Is there a reason why ? The correct ingredients were used, all at room temp. It was beat the same as the others as well. I've been baking for 60 years so it's not my first time.

    Betty Crocker makes my favorite chocolate cake mix and it is moist and always bakes up easily and comes out of the pan easily.
