A: Hi Rania- Good question - we’re glad you asked. The gelatin in our marshmallow marbits pieces is made from pork collagen. Collagen as an additive is tasteless and clear, and is used in many types of food. Big G cereals that contain marbits include Lucky Charms, Chocolate Lucky Charms, Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Frankenberry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've eaten Lucky Charms before but have never purchased them before. They taste exactly the same as they did 30+ years ago. The rainbow sprinkles added nothing except a tiny bit of discoloration to the cereal. The marshmallows still have the same texture with different nondescript shapes. I HATE that cereal companies and spices ziplock haven't teamed together to make resealable bags.

Two kids said it was good but another kid said it was way too sweet and prefers regular lucky charms. I had to agree with him that it was very sweet. If you have a major sweet tooth then this may be a good treat for you

Ordered for drive up in March of 2025. I stored it and finally got a chance to open them in July. I checked the expiration date and they expired in November of 2024– 4 months before I even bought them. I figured if I bought them in March they’d still be good now; that would’ve been the case if these weren’t already expired when I ordered them! I didn’t think to check the expiration date when I bought them because SURELY target wouldn’t keep expired product on the sales floor.

This new twist on the classic cereal takes the magic to a whole new level. The familiar marshmallow charms and frosted oats are still there, but now there’s an extra burst of sweetness and crunch from colorful sprinkles mixed right in. The taste is nostalgic but even more fun—like having a birthday party in a bowl. It’s still not overly sweet, but just sweet enough to feel like a treat. The sprinkles add a subtle texture and visual pop that makes breakfast (or a midnight snack) feel a little more special. If you’re already a fan of Lucky Charms, this version is a no-brainer. And if you’re new to it? This is a pretty magical place to start.

Can we keep the giant rainbows forever?! Lucky Charms are my favorite snack and the giant rainbows make it even better. I eat the cereal dry, and eat the marshmallows last, and usually save the balloons for very last but I switched it up with the addition of the giant rainbows. They are now the last (and favorite) thing I eat. Please keep the giant rainbows forever!

When we got home from the grocery store, after lunch, I asked my daughter what she wanted to eat.... These lucky charms. We got the family size, not sure how long it will last, but she loves them.

This didn't have much of a flavor at all to me and definitely didn't taste like birthday cake. Was it a good cereal yeah, did it live up to the hype and flavor advertised no. The marshmallows were top notch!
