Great gift for tea lovers
This is a gorgeous made in America electric kettle that can hold 7 Cups = 1700 mls shuts off automatically when it boils and has a chime to let you know it’s boiling. Bought it for a friend who absolutely loves it.

Great kettle, but plastic cracks and can't be replaced
I've had this kettle for several years. We're very happy with the capacity, the quick boil, the (mostly) metal interior, and the soft-open lid. Unfortunately, at this point the lid, the switch surround, and the plastic around the level window have all cracked and are actually shedding pieces. I wish there was a way to get repair parts!

Tea kettle soft plastic lid cracked
This tea kettle would be perfect if it didn’t have a defective lid. The plastic has cracked in multiple places. It will harbor germs that will drip back into the kettle due to condensation. I can’t find a place to purchase a new lid. For such an expensive tea kettle, you should have replacement lids on your site. I liked everything else about the kettle. Unfortunately I had to purchase a new kettle - a different brand - as a replacement (with no plastic or glass).

Great kettle with one major flaw!
This is the second kettle I bought thinking the cracked lid issue would have been resolved but alas! The lid still cracked badly. I searched for a replacement part since there seem to be screws to remove it but I have not seen where I can get one. Please advise if there is a place to purchase the plastic part of the lid. I hesitate to buy another if this issue is not resolved. I love the wide mouth so I can get my hand in there to clean out the hard water scaling! Otherwise it is a great product!

Plastic flavored water
We've had this kettle for less than year. Plastic compounds are apparenty leaching into the water and have been from the start. Water tastes terrible. The single star is for the pleasent bell that sounds when it turns off.

The kettle would never get hot enough to cause the plastic to become soluble. Recently started having issues
I bought this kettle 2 years ago and it was great until recently. The on and off switch (light) won’t stay on long enough for the water boil. The light keeps turning off while it is still in the on position.

been good untill
been 2 years and now the on/off switch wont stay on. Its loose internal . Sometimes a quick firm press will keep it working. Some times not. Sad that its a disposable world we live in.

A very good kettle
I had actually purchased this kettle some years ago but noticed that it was missing as being registered in my Breville account; I decided to do so and was asked to do this review. It is very well made and holds 1.7L of water. We use filtered water so we have not noticed much scale buildup, but it will occur over time. It heats very quickly with an automatic shutoff. It sits on a power base and is easily removed to pour into a teapot or other cooking device. It "dings" when boiled and shuts off automatically when removed from the base. There is a small screen filter at the spout which should be cleaned every now and then; we often forget it is there. Recommended.

Sad what happened to it
After reading a lot of wonderful reviews my sin decided to gift me this kettle. No even a year and during heating up the water this happened. So very disappointed especially we really like this brand. We purchased juice maker and coffee machine and works fine. Somehow I would like to see if company can replace the lid if possible. Thank you
