Not easy to build
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so frustrated on the build of this thing. The directions were pretty simple, but missing key details. Finding the correct fastener was the biggest battle. The Fasteners were randomly put in a whatever bag Fastenal could throw them in making it a nightmare to identify the specific bolt. The hoop looks great, but building this thing could be made a lot easier and user friendly. very frustrating!

Terrible
Absolute worst product I’ve purchased. Directions and hardware are not organized or labeled. I Won’t be buying another Lifetime product and I surely won’t recommend to others.

We're sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with your new basketball system. There is visual I.D of every part in the manual, and some of the larger pieces have measurements associated with them. Each part is not labeled individually since stickers would increase manufacturing costs, which would raise the sales price. We do have several assembly help options available if you run into questions, including; YouTube video tutorials, the BILT app, and also our Customer Service Department is always a great resource. Missing Parts
The quality of the hoop is really good so giving it a one may not be fair, but I’m rating my overall experience. To complete it was a chore. I was missing parts so I contacted Lifetime and got the parts the next day. Two steps later, discovered I was missing parts again. Called Lifetime and got those parts the next day. Continued working and for a third time was missing parts on one of the final steps. Very frustrating. I also had a bunch of parts I didn’t use and weren’t anywhere in the description or on the app. I don’t know if I got a wrong bag or bags or what, but it was very frustrating.

Directions need better explanation
After 3 tries, I am close to getting it right but only after watching youtube videos of other customers putting it together in a completely different order. For anyone else, start there first! Even still, my handle is stuck against the post and the piston will not release to lower the net. Any suggestions?

Awful
bought this about a month ago and the instructions are very poor. pretty much no labeling, so you are left to guessing and hoping you are right. after a few call with there customer service i was able to install the hoop. However the pump adjust would not work. I would raise the hoop and it would just slowly fall down to 8 feet or so. After hours looking over there instructions making sure everything was right I called customer service. Looking for a solution, after getting put on hold and waiting 45 minutes i finally get with someone who after i explained my problem just said, sorry i dont know how to help with that and just hangs up on me. Many calls later and still have to answer to the solution. Not impressed with the hoop or how they handled the situation

Horrible Instructions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product itself seems to be very nice. We have had it up for a little ocer 1 month. However, getting to the point where you can utilize the product is a challenge. Instructions are not user friendly and pieces are not marked. So you must be good with guessing and hopefully it all comes together in the end. Im still having troubles raising and lowering the goal.

Best Christmas Gift EVER!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When i was a kid My Dad poured us a slab and bought us this hoop... Many fond memories, for which I am forever grateful for. This is the first hoop we ever had that stood the test of time. When we moved, we loved it so much that we dug it up and took it with us! I love going home and seeing it out back. This summer I am going to take my boys home and we are gonna share a few hours out there with this trusty fella. Thanks Lifetime!

Weak pole system and poor backboard sturdiness for the price. Goalrilla is comparable in price and significantly better quality. Go for the bolt down version if you choose this brand.

Good System Overall
Like the powder coat protection, but lack of material in box allows metal to metal contact resulting in scratches. Very tasteful look in the yard. Goal does shake a little more than expected. Directions suggest pouring concrete into the post - above the ground approx 12" which I liked, but the shaking appears to come from the lift arms/connections. Rim is very sturdy and high quality, but don't put the bottom cover plate on until it is in the air and the slam spring is adjusted to your liking. One fault in the directions is the picture which accompanies Section 4.8. The pic doesn't show the center hole of the Pump Adjust Actuators and Cylinder below the gas shock rod. The bolt for this hole isn't installed until Section 4.10. Otherwise, very good directions. When lifting assembled system onto bottom pole, be careful of pinch points around the lift/lower arms. The Pump Adjust lift/lower system makes it very easy to change heights. Very good value and I would reccomend it.
