I've used the non-vanilla version of this matcha a few times and was always very happy with the lattes I made. This vanilla version, however, just isn't good. It has an off-putting taste that I can't put my finger on, but it's there regardless. It's so bad I wound up giving it to a neighbor so it wouldn't go to waste. Not recommended due to the odd flavor.

Love the original (unflavored) version way better than this. This one has a weird artificial vanilla taste that reminds me of the chemical imitation vanilla extract flavor. If prepared with milk, the milk covers the vanilla a bit but otherwise pretty unpalateable.

I totally understand what the comments mean by overly artificial vanilla or not the flavor that matcha drinkers are going for. it doesn’t have that grassy taste that match normally does. this is definitely best for people who want to try matcha but don’t like that flavor. i paired it with vanilla cold foam and i also added sweetened condensed milk as my sugar for the matcha and water mixture. it’s not horrible trust i’ve had worse. as someone who’s looking for that natural matcha earthy flavor i probably wouldn’t buy again but it wasn’t a bad purchase!

It legit tastes like a cheap vanilla protein shake mixed with a hint of matcha. The vanilla flavor is artificial and overpowering and just unpleasant. Definitely sticking to the original from now on.

I absolutely love this stuff. I keep it on hand at home. I’m not much of a coffee drinker but this matcha is so good and it’s got enough caffeine to get me through that mid day slump but not so much that I’m up all night.
