Q: Though I have a dishwasher, I prefer to wash dishes, etc. Can I use this product for the sink washing?

submitted by Pat - 1 year ago

  • A: Hello Pat - We appreciate your interest in this item. Since this is a dishwasher detergent it should not be used when sink washing, just as it should not be used in the dishwasher because there's a chance you'll apply too much detergent because there aren't any suds. Happy shopping at Target. – Alvin

    Absolute Crap

You get what you pay for… junk! If your dishes aren’t spotless before loading them into the dishwasher forget about them even coming clean. By far the worst dishwasher detergent I have ever used.

Trash- don't spend your money on it.

The formula must have changed recently. It’s discolored, and has an off-putting smell. It seems a lot of products recently have declined in quality from Target. This among many others, either come destroyed or disgusting or both. I guess it’s time to start spending money elsewhere.

Leaves dishes clean and no residual smell on cups, love it as an alternative for bigger brands and it’s almost half the cost.

I used to get this when my regular detergent wasn't easy to find, and it did the job fine. The formula must have been changed, though. Like others, I've experienced residue and it not really cleaning the dishes anymore. It also does really poorly with anything greasy, spreading the grease to other dishes so that things come out of the dishwasher looking worse than when they went in.

Spend the extra on the Cascade. This detergent is not great. Basic cleaning and leaves a film on everything.

I caught a sale and took a chance on liquid dishwashing detergent when I've always used powder. Very surprised! Easy to use and cleaned my dishes squeaky clean. So far I'm impressed.

Buy it if you love the taste of detergent

I used to get this when it was branded Up & Up. They must have reformulated it. The lemon smell is gone and it has a chemical smell. It doesn't rinse off and now I have to run my dishes through the dishwasher empty a couple times to get them clean so my mouth doesn't taste like detergent.

    My Dishes Stank.

Would not buy again. My dishes stank. (Dishwasher and filter are clean, also rinse aid is full.) Usually buy a different brand, decided to try this to save money. Will just spend the extra next time.
