Danby 4.4 cu. ft. Compact Fridge in Black DCR044B1BM

Unit purchased to replace Dandy model DAR044A4BSLDD. Very disappointed with heavier "pull" required to open door, lack of Soda can holders. height of lips on door shelves. Now where near as good a machine as a DAR044A4BSLDD - Very Disappointed

I’ve had a similar Danby compact fridge in my garage for 20 years. It recently stopped working, so I took the opportunity to replace it with a new upgrade model. I chose the Danby Diplomat because it had useful features including a small freezer for ice, more storage in the door, and a crisper drawer. Just hooked it up today and it’s cooling well so far. Hopefully it will last another 20 years. Thanks, Canada.

The design/appearance of the fridge lends itself to be an attractive addition to our family room where the black color blends in with the TV. This is a replacement for the same size Danby that was purchased in 2019. We are hoping this one will last longer. I'd like to see Danby offer a compact fridge with the same door style w/o a chiller/freezer. Our previous Danby had slanted drink holders on the door which took up space from the shelves. Overall, we are pleased with the construction/style, happy with where the manufacturer is located and time will tell how long this product stays operational.

Purchased this compact refrigerator as a 'second' fridge; reducing burden on the apartment's main refrigerator. Intend to keep beverages (milk, juices, beet, etc.). Ordered online. Delivery was prompt and actually ahead of the initial projected delivery time. Product setup was easy. The fridge seems to be exceeding expectations, as it is colder than I expected. Decent documentation.

My mini-fridge is brand new so I can't comment on its longevity, but so far it looks great, is exactly the layout I was looking for (actual shelves on the door instead of pop can holders, which seem to be the more mainstream design), and is pretty quiet. I've never seen a chiller with open slats on the flap before, not sure if it's meant to keep things extra cold or if it's a proper freezer--I'll experiment with an ice tray. I did switch the door over to open from the other side, which was not as easy as I thought--really useful to have a ratchet, as the screws were on SO tight it was impossible to loosen them with a screwdriver. I had a Danby in my college dorm (20 yrs ago) and that little tank lasted for years and years, so I'm hoping the quality of this new one will match its predecessor! Overall I'm optimistic that this was the right choice, compared to the cheapie brands.

Very roomy fridge. Light weight. Perfect Just what I was looking for to add a little fridge space to my kitchen.
