I specifically put it out because there were plenty of flies and insects that we’re getting in to the house that my cats weren’t catching and I checked the trap multiple times and there’s not a single one in it. I do think it’s a good price point for the item, I don’t like that you have to plugged in all the time, but I’m glad it doesn’t take batteries at least. I felt like the fan lasted longer than the 12 hours that it says, I feel like the instructions were simple, but still didn’t do the trick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is simple to use. You take on of the sticky pieces and put it in the bottom of the canister and plug it in. The light and fan turns on once it’s plugged in. The cord for this trap is quite short (about 1-2 feet long) so I was not able to have it very close to our sitting spot on the porch. When I checked the device after having it on for about 30 minutes, there were bugs trapped at the bottom. I wish I could find a better way other than an extension cord to have this closer to my sitting area outside. Overall, it does work!

Immediately plugged it into the kitchen outlet when I got it, checked ☑️ n it the next day and sure enough there was fruit flies that had been trapped in it. It creates a low humming sound, not at all bothersome. Would recommend and repurchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live on the gulf coast of Florida and bugs love it here. Mosquitos are frequently hovering around the front door of our home, trying to get inside. This little trap is very quiet and glows purple. There are no loud “ZAP” sounds because it uses a fan to gently pull the bugs in until they stick to the sticker at the bottom. It comes with replacement stickers, too. As you can see in the pics, it did a fine job of getting the smaller gnats and large mosquitos. The purple glow did not appear to attract the regular blood sucking mosquitos as much. We kept it by the front door where the majority of bugs seems to fly in through, which is also adjacent to the kitchen.

He don’t really notice that it’s there. The fan draws in the bugs and the sticky part traps them in well. My one complaint is the refill system. To get my moneys worth out of the refill, I feel like I’ll have the dead bug sitting in there for longer than I desire. I wish there was a way the unit didn’t require refills. The overall cost of the unit isn’t worth it to me when you factor in the cost of refills.

However, it’s not really attracting the flies or some small insect that was in the house. I tried to turn it on both in the morning and night but doesn’t work well. I don’t think this machine is worth the money. Not recommended!

It’s easy to maintain and you can put anywhere there’s a plug for it to works. I was good for its money I would recommend this to family and friends who need something like this. I placed the fan trap in my kitchen between the sink and my trash can and let it run for 3 hours. I caught what looked to be some fruit flies. It was really cool. Can’t wait to use it again after I’ve hosted an event at my house because people tend to go in and out of the house giving access to random flies every so often.
