Didn't know how much I needed an upgrade
Having the drain system is a game changer and the fact that all the pieces are dishwasher safe with the exception of the heating element and control panel is amazing. Would buy again

EZ Clean Deep Fryer
Overall, a very well thought out fryer. Only draw back or learning curve is when putting oil from the filtering tub back into the cooking reservoir - you have to keep both hands on the tub, learned from experience , the lid can and will come off due to weight distribution. Other than the teaching moment, very well pleased.

Good morning I am extremely happy with this deep fryer. This unit is easy on the eyes, cooking or frying chicken wings whole or part and fish the food is crunchy golden color for my household. Once set up it's a pleasure to contribute cooking duties in the house.

What an awesome product!
I love this mini fryer. My coil burner stove is not consistent heat so I was glad to find this. I love how it drains the oil out so you can easily clean the fryer bucket. When you put the oil back, after you remove the plug, make sure you hold the top on securely and pour out at an angle, not too quick so it does not get all over.

Good fryer. Okay UI.
Looks beautiful. Fries well. My main complaint is that it isn't easy to know exactly what temperature you've selected. The dial isn't super accurate. This could be improved by a more obvious click-into-place, little led lights, or even a digital display.

MacGyver the OIl Box with Electrical Tape
All-Clad has taken several things from T-fall that were pretty good and made them worse. To keep box lid from coming loose when you are pouring oil back into the fryer, wrap electrical tape around each end – but still hang on tight. Also, unit doesn't reach target temperatures as measured with Thermapen

Not as Expected
The automatic filtering and storing of oil does not work. I would love to return this unit but I think I am too late.

Minor design flaws do not lead to a perfect experience.
Generally I like the fryer, however the basket needs to be slightly smaller, as it rubs the heating element when putting it into the oil - so you have to push the basket down to get deep enough into the oil. then, because the mas oil level is so low, only a couple of inches of oil covers the basket, which makes it hard to do large pieces - like whole fish or chicken fried steak.. The oil filter and storage tank are nice - but make sure you are not over the max fill line, or the excess oil will leak out everywhere while draining into the storage tank.

Great product
It will be a year since I purchased my deep fryer. I love it! Not only am I saving money by not having to purchase cooking (especially corn oil) but the food taste fresh after you filter and re re reuse the oil

Oil box Will NOT STAY CLOSED
Even holding with two hands, the oil box will NOT stay closed. Oil spills when moving the unit. It REALLY spills out when trying to fill the fryer. If All Clad cannot remedy this problem, I’ll have to request a refund.

Oil box leaks on all 3 purchased even if you only fill 1/2 the amount
Used to hold All Clad to a high standard, now I’m thinking they have taken short cuts but kept he price tags. I bought this fryer about a month ago. Actually bought 2 of them. It fry’s well and breaks down as described for cleaning however the “oil filtration and holding box” is a joke. The oil box lid does not stay on or closed and creates a huge mess if you pick up to carry your fryer elsewhere or if you even jostle the oil in the box sliding it across the counter. Because of the oil box we made sure to follow directions about the fill line to ensure the box would hold the amount of oil in fryer. Every time used it’s made a mess on counter in floor or both. If you don’t care about cleaning oil and storage after cooking, it frys fine. I thought perhaps I got a bad oil storage container. But the other one does the same thing maybe even worse. I have looked on several sites now and it’s apparently a common issue for a couple years at the least and All Clad apparently doesn’t listen to reviews or just refuses to make improvements in their design! I bought my son one for Christmas and he had never used it when I got the 2 I ordered last mont, I liked the concept and look of his from Christmas I bought 2 more. Only to be extremely disappointed. Come to find out, he hadn’t used his from Christmas yet, and when compared to mine. It’s no different. We can use the fryer but the oil storage box is a rectangle plastic box with a lid and no latches or closure of any kind. Like just sits on top the container and they slide into the bottom of the fryer. So the second oil moves around in the box (even a tiny amount) it’s in the bottom of the fryer and leaks out onto the counter or floor if moving it a

great unit, oil container sucks
I love this fryer! Holds temperature extremely well, good capacity, oil and steam are kept contained, and with just a flick of a knob, it drains and cleans the oil. The fryer is easy to clean and the large handles make it easy to move. After the oil is drained and cleaned, it is stored in an "airtight plastic" container. When you go to return the used oil to the fryer, the ill fitting plastic lid pops off. first time it didn't pop off. 2nd time it did, oil everywhere, and every time after, so I fill the fryer over the sink. If the used oil container worked as it should, and could, I would give this 10 stars!

Great cooking unit
Worked great as did the filtration of the oil. Being able to put the lid on while using made the clean up a breeze.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken has never been better!
I've had a great experience in my first few cooks with the fryer. I have only used it for chicken dishes thus far, but it has performed perfectly. I've made traditional "hot wings" and my buttermilk fired chicken, and both came out much better than the had previously when using other methods of frying.

GREAT MACHINE
Used only once to make fish and chips. Works great and cooked everything perfectly. Oil drained as it was supposed to and when I poured it back into its container it was as clean as when I put it in. Love that filter feature. Rinsed the debris down the disposal and put everything in the dishwasher. Came out looking like new. Can’t wait to use again. GREAT MACHINE

Overkill for occasional use
Daughter got it for me for Christmas. It works perfectly well, but uses a lot of oil. The filtration function works well, Still, for an occasional batch of French fries, hush puppies, shrimp or fish, cooking oil management is a hassle. Fried potato’s and veggies don’t leave the oil smelly, but shrimp and fish do, so I could only get 4 or 5 cooks out of a batch of oil. It is simpler just to use a small Dutch oven and filter through coffee filters when you are done to reuse oil.

Mine won't drain?
I recently purchased the fryer and have used it twice now. Both times after using it I set the knob to automatic filter and let it sit overnight. Both times when I came out in the morning it hadn't drained a drop! I can press the button on the bottom of the vat and the oil will flow just fine. I just don't see how the drain button gets pressed by turning the knob to automatic filter. What am I missing?

Excellent fryer as long as you don't overfill it
Excellent fryer as long as you don't overfill it. This is the only fryer I could find that featured a filtration system for the oil to enable using it over and over again. My mom said that both her and my grandma would always just leave the oil in their fryers in the cabinet, and this seemed like a better solution than days of old. I purchased it in December and have used it at least 5 or 6 times. I have used it for a shrimp/clam strip fry, to fry french fries (steak fries, waffle fries, fast food cut french fries), as well as to fry chicken breasts for a homemade McChicken sandwich. The results are perfect every time. Like other reviewers that have rated it 1 star because of it leaking oil, I was surprised that the oil container lid did not stay snapped on. You have to be careful and tilt it just a little at a time from the drain corner in order to avoid making a mess. As long as you do that you'll be fine. Also very important is DO NOT overfill the oil to begin with in the fryer. It's a matter of physics.... the oil container in the bottom is ONLY so big. If you overfill the fryer with oil then set it to drain, the oil has to go somewhere once the plastic container is full. And obviously that means all over your countertop. So it's simple people, to avoid that don't overfill the oil past the MAX FILL line clearly indicated in the fryer! Also, another reviewer complained the cord was a pain. It is magnetic to the back of the unit and only fits one direction. I would have to assume the person who complained about it was trying to put it on upside down (the correct way it angles up to help keep the cord from falling against the hot side of the fryer when it's being used). Someone else said that the fryer isn't deep enough. I have not had an issue with that at all. I have can easily fry 2 chicken breasts with room to spare, a full bag of french fries, or 2 boxes of butterflied shrimp at a time without any issues. The oil gets hot enough that it bubbles up and over anything I've fried in it. The only reason I did not give this fryer a 5 star review is because the plastic oil container lid shouldn't come off so easy. But if you're just careful you're not going to have an issue with it. Aside from this I have been happy with it enough that I am going to purchase one for my mom for Mother's Day.
