Great ice cream maker for two

This ice cream maker is solidly built and easy to use with a bit of advance preparation required. It makes a perfect amount for two people. Our first batch made a creamy, delicious ice cream. It was a bit soft but still adequately frozen for immediate consumption. We froze some of the leftover ice cream and it firmed up nicely for later use.

My new favorite! Total impulse purchase and so worth it. It is the perfect size for a small kitchen, makes the perfect amount for 2, and is super easy to use. So far each batch has come out great! The specific recipes are interesting and fun and I cannot wait to make more!

    Trial and eeror

I love my little ice cream maker Although the first time that I used it, I followed the instructions to a T and it was totally liquid The heavy cream that I bought was from Publix and I figured that maybe it was the heavy cream that didn’t harden I bought another brand of heavy cream and follow the instructions. I do leave the bowl in the freezer the whole time now. It does take a full day to make the ice cream, but oh my God love it. I even crushed Oreos and made cookies and cream ice cream. You have to play around with how it works and how best it comes out I usually put the base in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours then put it in the ice cream maker 20 to 30 minutes and then when it’s done, I put it in the freezer for another 2 to 3 hours may be overnight until I’m ready to eat it. I see the price went up a few dollars but it was worth it.

This this device is spectacular except it's tendency to need more cumbersome, mixing and chilling of anything beforehand.

    Perfect little machine!

This is a perfect size for our apartment/small freezer space. I make a full batch of base, use half one day, and the other half the next! I like that we get to try more flavors that way.

    Small

Just received this and it's a lot smaller than I was expecting. I've only had a chance to use it once, but it didn't actually work in hardening into ice cream. I might've put too much in the bowl to be mixed, so I'm hoping that is the problem, otherwise I will be greatly disappointed!

    Slow churned milk

I'm on my second attempt in making ice cream and have only wasted milk and cream. Despite following the instructions to the letter, after 20 minutes of churning, there's been no change in texture at all. I've been happy with the other Cuisinart products I've bought but this is a lemon and I'm planning to return it.

    Ice cream maker motor failed

The ice cream maker didn’t work. Shed I turned it on, the motor made a whirring sound, but did not turn the paddle. I tried several times to get it to work but nothing ever worked. I would have loved to see it operate! I was looking forward to having a small ice cream maker.

The Little Ice Creamer that could

Great little ice cream maker. We like it better than the Ninja creami we returned. Quieter also. I do wish Cuisinart had more recipes available but you can find other ones online or a book. We are going to attempt a sherbet next.

    Ok for the price

It doesn’t actually freeze the ice cream and has a time limit apparently that it cuts off; i have successfully made ice cream and frozen in refrigerator. Also no recipe book so you just have to make do with recipes you find and guess. In the end, i guess decent for what you pay.

Good if you follow the directions perfectly

I got this ice cream maker so I could make healthier ice cream at home. I’ve had a hard time with it since the healthier ice cream doesn’t have heavy whipping cream or whole milk so it really doesn’t turn into ice cream at that point. If you follow their simple vanilla and chocolate recipes included, they do work though. It definitely makes more of a soft serve than actual ice cream.

    Cute little machine

It works great but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong because the ice cream just isn’t the right taste and has watery/icey texture. I’ll keep playing with it for sure
