Q: The specs state this is a 200 watt. However, if the vacuum is listed accurately by Bissell name on Target’s website, it should be a 280 watt not the 200 watt it states it is. Can you please confirm if this is 200 W or 280 W?

submitted by Candyrettich - 3 days ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, Candy! You're right to notice the difference. The version sold at Target (Model 4137) is rated at 200W, while the one listed on BISSELL’s website (Model 4039) has a 280W motor. Both are part of the FurGuard line, but the Target model is a slightly different version with lower wattage.

Q: Is this really a FurGuard? It looks like a FurFinder and seems to have a lower wattage. Plus, both the retail and sale amounts are less than the Bissell website.

submitted by Nick - 3 days ago
  • A: Great question, Nick! It is Target's retail-specific version (Model 4137) with a 200W motor. The BISSELL FurGuard (Model 4039) sold elsewhere features a 280W motor and may offer stronger suction. Both include the FurFinder Tool and self-cleaning brush roll. Hope this helps!

  • A: Great observation, Nick! The BISSELL PowerClean FurGuard and FurFinder do look very similar, but there are a few key differences. The FurGuard typically features a 280W motor and a self-cleaning brush roll, while the FurFinder has a 200W motor and a tangle-free brush roll. If the version you're seeing has lower wattage or different specs, it may actually be the FurFinder or a retailer-specific variation. Pricing can also vary depending on the retailer and current promotions, so it’s not unusual to see different prices than on the BISSELL website.

Q: Other than color how does this differ from the one on Bissell's website?

submitted by shay - 5 days ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, Shay! While the PowerClean FurGuard at Target and the one on BISSELL’s website look similar, they’re slightly different models. The Target version (Model 4137) has a 200W motor, while the BISSELL version (Model 4039) features a 280W motor for a bit more suction power. Both are cordless, pet-friendly, and include the same great tools—just with a few performance differences.

submitted byBissell Team - 15 hours ago
    Brand expert
  • A: Great question, Shay! The version at Target and the one on our website are functionally the same in terms of performance and features. Sometimes, retailers may list slightly different model numbers or packaging, but the core specs—like the 200W motor, self-cleaning brush roll, and HEPA Sealed Allergen System—are consistent across both versions. The main difference you might notice is the color or included accessories, which can vary by retailer.

submitted by Ross13 - 3 days ago
  • A: Great question, Ross! The BISSELL PowerClean FurGuard is designed for both hard floors and carpets, but it really shines on hard surfaces. It features a self-cleaning brush roll and powerful suction that make it especially effective on tile, hardwood, and laminate. It can handle low-pile carpets, too.

Q: Does this model have lights?

submitted by Martin - 3 days ago

Q: Do I need to mount it on the wall to charge?

submitted by Susieqq - 3 days ago
  • A: Great question, Susie! You don’t need to mount it on the wall to charge. The BISSELL PowerClean FurGuard can be charged in two ways: either on the wall mount (if included) or by plugging the charger directly into the removable battery while it’s off the vacuum. This gives you flexibility depending on your space and setup.

Lightweight, 3speed, long lasting battery life, detachable battery so the whole vac doesn't need to hang on the charger. Everything clicks together firmly and easily. If you need to stop in the middle of a job, the VAC can stand up right on its own so you don't have to lay it down. Emptying the dust bin is super easy. Very sturdy for the low price. Really goes after the dog hair. Love it!

I am in LOVE with this vacuum! Our previous vacuum broke, so I decided to replace it when I saw that this was on super sale. How is it 2025 and I'm just now out here buying a cordless vacuum?? What a life changer. This little thing also does a GREAT job at picking up the hair from my 2 dogs! And the fact that it stands on its own? Magical. BUY. THIS. VACUUM.

I have 3 cats and wanted a cordless that could keep up with the hair and this works great. It's a little heavier than I'd like, but it has the power to work good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, to get this out of the way, I have 6 kids ranging in ages from 12 months (just turned 1 a few weeks ago, so early toddler stage!) to 13 years, 3 large dogs, and 2 cats. Our home can rapidly fall apart if we don't stay on top of it, particularly the floors and upholstery. Previous to the arrival of this stick vac we were pulling out our crosswave and full vacuum/mopping twice a day. It was exhaustive, but it's important for my youngest to have a clean space to play, and for the rest of us to not have gunk on our feet. I should note, we're also a no shoes in the house type of family, so we really want to keep all the outside where it belongs- outside. When this stick vac arrived, it looked just like any other, although it was super easy to put together. I loved the versatility it had- the option to use it as a handheld vacuum (with multiple attachments) or as a stick vac was unique compared to some other I've seen previously. It was a win in my home as it meant one less thing to keep, so our handheld vac has been retired to storage for the time being. One thing that I thought really set this apart, however, was that it came with the option to have it self-stand (no more obnoxious leaning to minimize falling over) or to mount it on the wall. We started with the self-stand, but plan to set up the wall mount as I love that it holds all the different attachments right there and charges. Onto the function of the machine- this thing is a beast. To put it into perspective, my family just took a 2 week long vacation. We had a neighbor who was watching our 3 dogs and 2 cats, but they primarily just came over to give them love, let them out, and ensure they were fed/had water. When I walked into my home upon returning, there was literally a coat of hair and dust on my floor. I could not step anywhere without there being hair (perfect time for my australian shepherds to start their summer shedding, right?). This absolutely disgusted me and I planned to pull out my "big kid vacuum" but the Bissell PowerClean FurGuard was right next to the door so I grabbed it instead. I turned on the headlamps and was even more taken aback by the state of my floors. A rapid cleaning was required, not optional. THE BATTERY LIFE LASTED THE ENTIRE HOUSE. This is not my normal experience with stick vacs, but my goodness was it a welcome one. I was able to vacuum my kitchen, living room, hallways, bathroom, and both kids rooms with out losing battery life or suction power. It was like the scene from Cat in the Hat when the mom is about to come back and the Cat quickly whisks everything back to normal. Within 5 minutes, my floors were clean and walkable again. Emptying and keeping this machine clean is a piece of cake too. Yes, it does take two hands to properly empty it, but I love that I don't encounter myself, or my kids, accidentally spilling the container anywhere. If I could change one thing about this stick vac, it would be to make the canister just a smidgen bigger, but even then, I don't know if that would be needed. If the battery life stays consistent with it's current use, this is literally the perfect stick vacuum. 10/10 recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is great for pet owners! The fur upholstery tool did a good job getting my dog’s fur off the couch after a few passes. We have laminate flooring and the vacuum did a great job picking up the fur and debris easily, especially with the headlight to help see the debris in a light or dark room. I do like that it stands up on its own compared to the other stick vacuum I have. That feature is great when you have to pause vacuuming, without having to lay the vacuum down. The other good thing is that you can turn the button on and it stays on, compared to my other stick vacuum, where you have to hold the button down like a trigger during the duration of vacuuming. The only drawback in comparison was that it was heavier to carry and the green light on my other stick vacuum was more effective at visualizing the finer debris on the floor. Overall this is a great stick vacuum to use if you have pets or children, also at a great price point!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little vacuum. I was worried about the run time being insufficient, but it's been more than adequate. It's great on upholstery and low pile rugs. I have a couple of high pile mats that did get a bit stuck. I wish it had the edge brushes that other vacuums have, but the suction is good enough from the front to get dirt and debris immediately in front of it. The lights are very handy. I definitely saw all the dust and fur on the floor. The dust canister comes off very easily and dumps neatly into the trash. The base is narrower than my last vacuum, but it is helpful for getting into smaller areas. I do wish it folded open so I didn't have to squat so low to get under places. I've been most impressed by the fact that I haven't had to cut any hair off the brush roller

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Game-Changer for Pet Owners! I’ve tried a handful of cordless vacuums over the years, but the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder really stands out—especially if you live with pets. First off, it's incredibly lightweight and easy to maneuver, making quick cleanups a breeze. Whether I'm zipping around furniture or reaching tight corners, it never feels like a chore to use. The suction power is surprisingly strong for such a compact vacuum. It pulls up pet hair like a magnet, even those fine strands that usually cling to upholstery and rugs. I’ve used it on both hard floors and soft carpets, and it transitions effortlessly between surfaces without losing performance. My absolute favorite feature? The headlights. I didn’t realize how much I needed them until I used this. They illuminate hidden dust and pet hair that I’d usually miss—especially under furniture and in darker corners. It’s a total game-changer for keeping the house truly clean. I also love that it’s self-standing. I can stop mid-clean without worrying about propping it up or laying it down. And when I’m done, cleaning the unit itself is super easy and mess-free—another big plus. If I had one complaint, it’s that the battery life could be better. It works great for quick cleanups, but if you’re tackling a whole-house clean, you’ll probably need to recharge midway. Overall, though, this vacuum packs a ton of convenience and performance into a sleek little machine. Highly recommend for pet owners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is hands down the best and most convenient vacuum I've ever used! You need it in your life! It is so innovative and has so many cool features. It was my first time using a vacuum with a light and wow I'm blown away! I have 2 cats and 1 dog and this vacuum alone is able to clean all their fur. I can easily see so much fur and dust that I would've otherwise missed. I used it on carpet and hardwood and it worked on both surfaces really well without missing anything! I used the FurFinder tool on the hardwood floor, carpet, and my couch. It worked flawlessly on the floor and carpet, but had a bit of trouble on my couch. It claims to remove fur within 1 run, but I found that it took about 3 runs to completely remove all the fur from my couch. It could be that I had a bit more fur than usual, but if you have less buildup than me, it could clean it within 1 run! The vacuum was very easy to use and set up. I appreciate how light it is. As a 5'2" person with a petite build, I'm not very strong. Other vacuums cause fatigue because of how heavy they are, but I was able to use this for the full 50 minutes of battery life without a problem. I also love how it is free standing. I don't have to lean it against the wall or get a new stand. I can just leave it charging by the outlet freely without having to worry about it falling! Overall, I love this vacuum so much and would highly recommend it! You need it in your life!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought I’d enjoy vacuuming as much as I have with the Bissell PowerClean Furguard. Even my 6 year old enjoys using it (which is a mom’s dream). The cordless feature makes a quick nightly clean up so easy and the charge lasts long enough to get all 1200 square feet of our main level. With a 6 year old, 2 year old and very hairy dog, we NEED to vacuum often. The bissell makes it so easy. It’s lightweight, adaptable, nimble and powerful. The lights help see all the crumbs and dog hair so I don’t miss a spot. It’s not too loud, and the 3 adjustable settings help with every surface. I found that the lowest level works best for my thin, washable, rugs and the highest setting gets everything up from the carpet. Every level works for the hardwood floors. The canister is incredibly easy to empty and holds more than I always thing it will. It’s hard to find anything negative about this vacuum. The only thing I might say is if we have very large crumbs (think nuts), it won’t pick those up. But I can’t think of many similar style vacuums that’s would be able to either. I would definitely recommend this to a friend if they asked.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom with two cats, a dog, and velvet furniture, I can’t say enough good things about this vacuum! The different heads for furniture are a game-changer, and it easily converts to handheld for quick cleanups around the house. The wall mount is super convenient – no more hunting for the vacuum! It’s right there when you need it, making cleaning feel like less of a chore. I’m cleaning up messes so much faster now than I did with other vacuums. This is especially great for keeping up with the crazy shedding from my pets. Bonus: the headlights actually work and help me spot every speck of dust! I’m currently in my third trimester and love that it’s light enough that it doesn’t feel like a workout to push around. Plus, with the long handle, I don’t even have to bend over to get the job done. Perfect for busy moms like me! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am obsessed with this vacuum over my last one - where do I start? The battery lasts super long! I can clean my whole place (about 1,000 sq. ft.) 2-4x before the battery needs a charge. The light on it to find hair and little crummies all over the place is great, and this vacuum absolutely sucks up all fur! It is amazing. The biggest selling point for me is that it independently stands upright! GAME CHANGER in the stick vacuum world (or at least for me) so I can leave it out or have it take up a small corner in the closet. Huge fan and dare I say, this is my favorite vacuum to date! Keeps things easy and breezy and clean!

The price point is considerably better than its competitors, I would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first glance, this stick vac looks like any other. One thing that I really appreciate is that it will stay standing if you leave it upright. Anyone who has used other stick vacs knows this is huge. Also, I really like how easy it is to switch out the attachments and how secure they feel once they're on. Before I got the Bissell PowerClean FurGuard, I would either struggle with a smaller, cordless vacuum that was just meh or I would use my regular corded upright, which requires 2 passes and isn't the easiest. The Bissell PowerClean FurGuard can switch from a full-sized vacuum to a hand vacuum very quickly and it still has the suction I need. It has definitely sped up my vacuuming routine. I also really appreciate that the battery is removable. If I need to vacuum my entire house, I would need 2 batteries. Giving me the option to buy another battery to have on standby is great. This vac does a great job transitioning from hardwood to carpet and the lights help to see under couches, side tables, etc. There's a hand attachment that gets fur out of furniture that is a life saver. I was really impressed with how much fur it was able to pull out of the fabric.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this Vacuum. It holds a charge for a long-enough time. The clear collection container at the top is a nice feature. If you vacuum up an earring, you can see the item & pluck it out quick. It's easy to clean. It was incredibly easy to use, my 1.5 year old could use it. The 3 "suck modes" are also a nice touch. I found it helpful when switching from hardwood floors to carpet and back. Typically, when I vacuum between the 2 surfaces, the vacuum "munches" on the carpet; other vacuums seize up. This vacuum did not. It was able to pick up glitter, sprinkles, crumbs, my hair, an insane amount of dust I did not expect to be in my carpet. It did not vacuum up hard gummy bears or wires. It actually automatically turns off when a wire is tangled in the gears, which was great - I was able to wiggle said wire out of the bottom. I only gave 4 stars because it doesn't get as close to the wall as I would like. It also doesn't really fit under my kitchen cabinets/sofa. It has a "tall mouth" that doesn't have "full range" of motion. I also got a but nervous when it was standing tall, independently. If I have to move something out of the way, pause vacuuming - the machine was a bit unbalanced, top heavy. I would need to prop it against the wall for fear it would crash to the ground.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty great stick vacuum! I felt that the suction power is very good, especially compared to other products of this class. It worked well for multiple surfaces- however, I did feel that it actually had too much suction power on shaggier rugs that prevented the roller from rotating. But for standard carpet, flatter rugs, and upholstery it was able to pull up so much fur. The collection bucket does fill up fast but is super easy to empty and keep moving. I love the wall mount that it comes with as it gets it up and out of the way. Additionally the free standing aspect is great as I stop and not have to worry about leaning it on something or it falling over. The LED lights on the front are super bright and help find hidden fur and dirt! This vacuum makes it so easy to spot clean more frequently!

The game-changing feature for me are the headlights—they make a really big difference in what you think might be clean. The vac itself is super easy to setup, use, and maintain. It's lightweight, but sturdy. The self-standing feature is also awesome. My Dyson vac is constantly slipping and clattering when not in use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved having this easy stick vac to pick up small messes. The battery lasts forever and there's great suction. I'm able to keep it handy for picking up after little kid messes and dog hair, and it's been a lifesaver in the car too for cleaning up messes easily without needing to go to a vacuum or pull out a corded vac close enough. The different attachments allow it to work well on any surface. We have a combination of wood floors and rugs, and I have been able to use this vac well on both, as well as upholstery. The small attachment head does a great job of getting into all the nooks and crannies. I love the FurFinder tool especially for our upholstered couches. The light makes it so easy to see areas that need some extra focus and the suction is strong enough to pull pet hair off our velvet couch. I can actually say that my house is cleaner because of having this vac due to the fact that I'm way less likely to put off cleaning something up due to the inconvenience of pulling out our large corded vacuum and hauling it around to clean something up. Finally, I love the self-standing design! It allows me to leave it in an inconspicuous place without awkwardly leaning it against a corner or needing to install a holder. I am so happy to have incorporated this vacuum into our cleaning routine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The number one highlight for me is the light bar on the main brush attachment - the FurFinder Headlights. The lights really do illuminate dirt and pet hair on my hardwood floors, and you can clearly see after a pass with the vacuum that it has picked up the dirt or hair. I also like the self-standing design, which makes it easy to stop vacuuming and move items that might be in your way without having to set the vacuum on the ground or lean it against something nearby. This was also convenient when the vacuum was plugged in for charging or when emptying the dust cup. The on/off button is also great compared to a trigger on/off that you need to depress the entire time you're vacuuming. I used the Furfinder tool on my pitbull's bed, and it worked great to remove the small hairs that seem to weave their way into the fabric of the bed. Emptying the dust cup involves pushing one button and then lifting the filter out of the way to be able to dump the cup. A few nitpicks - The medium speed setting was too powerful for vacuuming my area rugs, but the low speed setting seemed to work fine for cleaning those. The battery life is just ok, as it doesn't last long enough to clean all the floors in my 1100 square foot house on the medium speed setting. The main brush attachment is tall and not as maneuverable as some other vacuums that I have used, which made it difficult to vacuum around tight areas, like under my bathroom vanity and around the toilet. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance of the vacuum and its attachments. The Bissell PowerClean FurGuard works so well that I was disappointed to stop vacuuming to charge the battery!

This works very well on both carpet and hard floors, it actually gets the pesky dog hair you can’t see with the furfinder headlights, especially the not so well lit areas that would be easy to miss typically. I have tried different stick vacuums in the past specifically the “pet” ones and they have been great in the beginning then they become not so great over use. This seems it will really hold up very well because it is very powerful and I LOVE how silent it is. Grab the instructions (kidding, kind of) though it was a bit confusing out of the box but once it’s put together it’s easier to use. I do wish it had a base to charge it that doesn’t have to be drilled into the walls, otherwise that’s a minor detail. The vacuum itself works phenomenal!
