Previously perfect, now a "don't buy"
A year ago I would have given this five stars because it was (!) perfect. In the last few months, the adhesive has changed twice. The first time, it became more sticky and more difficult to remove, this time, it leaves a residue and is hurtful to remove. Really unfortunate because this was the best mouth tape I had tried before the changes. I can no longer recommend this product, sadly.

I've been buying these consistently for 8-9 months and they were the best on the market! The size and adhesive were perfect, I liked the breathing hole, and the price point is great. They are cute too! Despite their customer service team replying to reviews insisting they didn't change their formula, they DEFINITELY did! It's very bizarre to gaslight customers in this way. It's now very difficult and uncomfortable to remove and does leave sticky residue on the skin that you have to scrub off.

I was actually surprised at how well these worked for me. I have sensitive skin and I had no trouble with these. Sometimes, they do leave a bit of sticky residue on my lips but nothing a little bit of oil won't take off. The instructions say to keep your skin taut and pull the tape to the side and not straight out (same way as you'd remove 3M adhesives). I have a deviated septum and snore pretty badly but apparently these have helped a lot - both according to my Oura ring and significant other. I like the light tingling feeling and it helps me fall asleep and stay asleep better.

DO NOT USE-HARD TO REMOVE
This sticks to your skin so badly, it was tortuous to remove. I even tried adhesive removal wipes, adhesive releaser spray, and warm water soak. It was horrendous. I've tried other mouth tapes that were more expensive, so I was hoping for a cheap option. DO NOT USE!

New formula is awful
The formula for this has completely changed. I LOVED these and have been so disappointed in the new changes. While never experiencing this with the old product, this new version leaves a sticky residue on my lips and face that takes DAYS to scrub off. Thank goodness I was using a zoom mirror the first morning after using this new version because the GLUE that was covering the outside of my mouth that was now mixed into my makeup brush and caked into my face was mortifying. I had washed my face and scrubbed it with makeup remover to no avail. This new version really doesn’t deserve Target’s shelf space anymore.

I’ve been using this brand for close to 6 months now and I will probably continue to do so. They changed something a few months ago; the adhesive is a bit stronger now. As long as I am gentle when removing in the morning, I don’t have any problems. Little to no residue

Don't waste your money
This will rip the skin off of your lips. I wanted to like it but after using it, my lip was so badly hurt-I now have a scab. If they can reformulate the glue on it, I think they will have a good product. Don’t waste your money.

Avoid!
I’ve used a couple of other brands of mouth tape that were not cheap, so I was excited to find these in Target for a low price. I guess I’m going back to spending $$ on mouth tape because this brand is terrible. A few months back I got impetigo that started around my mouth…it was a terrible experience. Once cleared up, one night I used this mouth tape…and the impetigo came back, like, immediately. Luckily I had medicine left over and got it cleared up quicker. I was hesitant to use the mouth tape again and didn’t for a while. I have used it twice in the last week after a long break, and I’m having PTSD of the impetigo coming back. My lips are SO dry and the skin is coming off of them (always dry, but even worse now even though I applied stuff before the mouth tape; photo has moisturizer on lips so you can’t tell as much), and worse, has raw skin and/or rash above and below my lips (especially below) that is uncomfortable and unsightly. This is NOT an isolated incident! I can now say after using these once or twice and then taking a break, using again, these are the cause of major skin issues around my mouth.

Horrible! It’s like putting plastic tape on ur mouth and waking up with extremely dry lips with weird white residue/pattern on them. I used one and will never be using them again.
