Q: Are the wheels rubber or plastic?

submitted by Louloumom - 1 year ago
  • A: The wheels on ginger are foam-filled and feature a sturdy tread. Along with the all-wheel suspension, the ginger stroller should be able to handle a variety of surfaces,

Q: What is the difference between the Joie Ginger Rue and Mint Latch travel systems?

submitted by Hayley - 1 year ago
  • A: The infant car seats are the difference between the ginger™ and rue™ travel system and the ginger™ and mint latch™ travel system. One travel system has the mint latch™ car seat, which has integrated rigid LATCH connectors for easy installation without a base or with a seat belt. The other travel system has a lightweight rue™ infant car seat (7.8 lb) and an anti-rebound base.

Q: this seems to come with an infant car seat base, but I had see a video that it doesn’t necessarily need a base— is that true?

submitted by Shan - 2 years ago
  • A: This is a great question! The ginger and rue travel system does come with the rue anti-rebound base, which is very convenient for everyday use. However, you do not need the base to install the rue infant car seat! Rue can also be installed using the vehicle seat belt in a car or on a plane if you are traveling.

Q: Does this include the bassinet?

submitted by NH - 2 years ago
  • A: Thanks for reaching out! The ginger™ 4-in-1 and rue™ travel system is an excellent option for those with infants. The best part about the ginger™ is that the stroller seat transforms into a pramette without any extra parts! Simply recline the seat all the way, tilt the seat back, and unbuckle the strap behind the calf support, and you have a perfectly positioned pramette for your tiniest buddy. This is a pramette, and it is NOT a bassinet.

The Joie Ginger and Rue travel system offers a versatile and stylish solution for parents, featuring a lightweight car seat and stroller that are easy to maneuver. Guests appreciate the smooth ride, adjustable handlebar, and the ability to convert from a bassinet to a stroller seat. Poor quality - target do better

Stroller frame and mostly the bassinet arrived scratched up and damaged. This item was purchased as a gift for our baby shower. Targets only compensation method was a return even though we had no box. To move forward with their scheduled picked return option, scheduling had to take place through the gift purchaser’s personal target account. This prevented us from moving forward with their scheduled pickup return option. Quite frustrating that this was the ONLY customer service option after hours on the phone.

Love the stroller; hate the infant carrier

I went to the store and rolled around a few strollers. I like the maneuverability of the ginger. My baby is only 3.5 weeks and roughly 8.5-9.5 pounds, so I can’t vouch for how the stroller does with heavier weights. Something I do NOT like about this system is the rue car seat. I wish I had read the reviews a bit more before buying because I could’ve just bought a different infant seat and bought the stroller on its own. To be clear: I love the stroller and 0 regrets on that. As for the infant carrier, my baby was 5lbs 4 ounces when we left the hospital. I couldn’t get him in the seat without his chin being on his chest. He looks so uncomfortable in the car seat. I tried everything to solve the issue. Now that he’s bigger, I took the head pillow out and it finally got his chin off his chest. BUT, him not having anything to support his head scares me. Online, it says it’s fine, but he’s literally still a newborn and has limited neck control. I feel anxiety every time I have to put him in the car. I’m stuck in a predicament of whether I should get a different infant carrier or not. This is a frequent complaint.

The packaging was awful and opened. A little bit of the carrier had pollen from the box being partially opened. As expensive as this was I wish it was properly packaged.

    Disappointed

I am very disregarded of this purchase, unfortunately I bought it in September at last year's sale and my baby was born in January, so it could not be returned, I did not open it until my baby was born, first the car seat my baby looked very uncomfortable in the, until now I think is more happy but still cries a lot in the. Then it is a lot of work to have to change the accessories to use the car seat and the accessories of bassinet, besides if the stroller does not have the Tires in a specific potion do not close well, an also if the locking bolt does not close properly. One more thing: you need both hands to fold the stroller. And finally, if you attach the car seat, you have to press the release buttons—which are located in a spot that isn't very accessible. I made the effort to buy a stroller at an average price and so that it does not work well, and it is not that I can be easily changing for a new one, but if I could, I would do it without thinking.

    Cheap plastic parts

Baby isn’t here yet so I haven’t used it out and about. I just want to know when these companies decided parents no longer want the cup holder trays for both the parents and kids. This comes with an extremely flimsy and cheaply made cup holder that is at an awkward height and it’s horrible. Some of the other plastic stuff like where the stroller fold down and where you lift to turn the seat around also feels cheaply made and like the plastic will snap. I was between this and the Graco modes nest which I had the 2020 version of and ultimately chose this one because it was a lot lighter. However now having received it, it definitely feels cheaper than the Graco.

    Dont believe the hype

I researched the best travel systems within this price range. This set had very high ratings. I specifically bought it for the bassinet feature so I could walk with my newborn and she could nap. The bassinet was not sturdy at all and her weight easily shifted from one side to the other which was upsetting. I feel like she would fall if she moved slightly to one side. Therefore I was not able to use it. The car seat did not work for us either. My baby was constantly chin to chest no matter how many times we adjusted. The cover did not extend long enough so she was constantly having the sun in her face. The stroller rode smoothly but it was difficult at times to place the car seat on it. Putting up the stroller was a hassle as well. It was heavy and required 2 hands. Overall would not recommend. Returned for another travel system.

Not good if you are on the go

Such a great stroller but the cup holder is not sturdy. Bad design. I don’t have a place to put my keys and wallet I bought the mom cozy storage thing and it’s terrible. I wish I would have thought of that before choosing this stroller

The quality is pretty good given the price. My main qualm with this stroller is that there are really only 2 recline settings. Bassinet/lay flat and upright. However the upright setting is too high and inclined for an infant that is not yet sitting on their own.
