Q: On the bottom of the jar there are some numbers. Is it the expiration date or manufacturing date?

  • A: I received mine recently. I think the lot code was rubbed off somehow. I see a spotted black streaked on the side of the lid which I'm guessing was the lot code number.

  • A: The raised numbers on the bottom of the NIVEA Crème glass jar are related to the manufacturing of the glass jar, not the NIVEA Crème itself. The lot code for the NIVEA Crème is located on the outer edge of the lid, and is in dark print. The lot code will either be a series of 8 numbers or 8 numbers followed by 2 letters. In all cases, the first number of the code is the last digit of the year the product was produced, and the next two numbers are the week of the year. For example, Lot Code 02350957 indicates the product was produced in 2020 in the 23rd week of the year. The zero stands for production in 2020. The second and third numbers are the week of production, in this example week 23 (June). The NIVEA Crème is good for 30 months from the date of manufacture.

    Love this thick emollient

    This Nivea Cream is THE BEST for all dry skin areas. It goes on smoothly and is not sticky. The mild scent is pleasant and does not linger long or interfere with perfumes. PLEASE DO NOT try to "improve" it‼️ It's great as is.

    Lid sheds plastic

    Very disappointed. I’m using the product for many years now, but the plastic lid sheds plastic pieces that end up in the cream. Plastic is the last thing I want to apply to my skin.

    Poor customer service

    Item had a hole in the sealed lid. Customer service was of no help in trying to exchange the item since it was bought for my daughter and she is away at college without a vehicle with no way to go back to a store to exchange it.

    Please bring back your soft Nivea

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cream is OK, but it is so inferior to the soft product that I bought for years. It’s too thick. Like paste. When I found out that it was discontinued and this product was its replacement. I did buy it. I do not like the fact that the jar is over 13 ounces, it’s a huge jar that’ll take forever to use and it’s so thick. Please bring back the soft.

    Awesome creme but ooh that smell

    I just received Nivea creme as a gift in a cute little tin. I love the way my skin feels. The winter air is so dry so im thinking it will hydrate by holding in my natural hydration. The ONLY reason I wouldn't buy it is the smell, it's terrible and smells old. I will look for a clean smell which surely there is. Thanks for a great product though.

    Best hand cream ever

    Beautiful glass packaging!

    I have dry to combination skin, and this stuff is lovely. I was trying to find a face moisturizer that didn’t come in a pump bottle because those waste so much product. I heard a bunch of hype about this, and it doesn’t disappoint. It does have a bit of a baby powder kinda scent but it dissipates and is worth the gamble for how much product you get for $10! Plus it’s a glass jar, which I find super fun. I warm it up between my fingers for a few seconds then rub / pat it onto my face and it’s so moisturizing without being a glazed doughnut all day. I highly recommend. I did notice some of the plastic from the lid does flake off into the product as other people have mentioned but they are easy enough to pick out, hopefully they will do a metal lid in the future.

    I have really dry skin in the winter and this works great for me. It’s thick and smells clean. The reviews about plastic being in it, I believe those people are overly screwing the top on that causes the ridges to break and get in their cream. I would purchase again!
