Nailtiques Formula 2 Nail Protein bonds the nail layers together building a strong nail foundation resistant to peeling, chipping, and splitting. This special formula was created for soft, peeling, bitten, weak, thin, or any sort of unhealthy nails. The salon tested formulation offers special combinations of ingredients, including hydrolyzed keratin and protein in combination with gelatin and calcium to help bond nails that are splitting or peeling, resulting in long, strong, and healthy nails. The formula is clear when applied on nails. After using this product, nails are sure to begin gaining strength and will be make unhealthy nails a thing of the past. Once desired results are achieved, graduate to Formula 1 Nail Protein to help maintain healthy, flexible nails.

Q: What's the difference between this product and Formula 2? Will it make that much of a difference? I have always bitten my nails due to stress and then it's become a habit. I want healthy pretty nails.

A: I have a history of nail biting, too. My solution for stopping is to always have my nails covered with some product -- either this one or gel nail polish.

A: Dries quick to a shine and hard like a polish. The best product I have ever used for my peeling nails.
submitted byLinda - 7 years agoA: You can wear as just a clear polish; I do 2 or 3 coats. Or I use 2 coats as a base coat, 1 or 2 coats of colored nail polish, and then use this as 1 coat for topcoat (in a day this will oxidize your color making it a bit darker). Better than acrylic nails if your nails peel from too much pool time or if you are a salt water diver. Will make your nails bullet proof.

This really works!
I've never had such healthy nails...no splits, no peeling, no ridges, no longer soft or thin nails. Initialy, I applied one coat per day for 5 days, new coat over the previous. I removed after the first week and have been using this product as a base coat each color polish change. I'm very pleased with this product.

One of the best nail treatments out there!
This is definitely one of the best nail strengtheners out there. It can be hard to find sometimes so I like to make sure I grab a couple bottles when I can. You're only supposed to use this version until your nails improve, and then switch to one of the other others. One of the things I like the most about this nail strengthener is that it doesn't peel off easily like some do, and I can wear one or two coats for a few days without it peeling off even when I wash my hands a ton.

I’ve been using this for quite a while because it really makes my finger nails & toe nails stronger & harder & helps them to grow! I always wear it when my nails are naked & as a topcoat over my Color Street (100% nail polish) it helps to make them even more shiny and makes the polish last longer! I love this. Formula 2 has made such a huge difference in the overall strength and durability of my nails. I used to break them constantly which was a huge disappointment since I love painting my own natural nails and they always used to look so short and pathetic. They would grow a little bit but they were so thin and brittle that I would break them almost immediately as soon as they got any length to them. I've been using Formula 2 for about 6 months and the difference from when I started using it to now is night and day. My nails are stronger, more durable, and less prone to breaking. It works as a perfect base coat underneath nail polish but obviously you can use it all by itself. I've even gotten my mom hooked on it! I definitely recommend this to anyone who struggles with weak nails.

I purchased and was excited bc of all the great reviews AND after researching, saw it was the best nail help, rated number one! After I applied, it wasn’t drying???? When I tried to contact nailtiques, (formula 2) to ask why, I saw company has closed????? The price is expensive, for a small bottle! It’s unfortunate! Wish they wouldn’t sell product if you like/love when company is no longer in business? Was excited to get help with nails and was willing to pay the amount, but disappointed with drying time and stickiness but very upset about company out of business????

5 stars for the formula, 1 star for the packaging. Honestly, the formula is everything for my brittle nails. It’s the best nail strengthener I’ve been able to find. However, I travel a lot for work and fun, so I need to bring my nail strengthened with me. Unfortunately, this bottle does not travel well. Although it’s the ideal size for travel, I’ve had THREE different bottles leak in my bag. The first because the cap was faulty: the outer cap separated from the inner cap, so unbeknownst to me it wasn’t screwed on well. The other two simply leaked everywhere due to pressure changes - once on an airplane and once on a drive with elevation change. As you can imagine, it made an annoying mess - not to mention at $12 for a quarter oz, it was a huge waste of money. I’m super disappointed because I love the product but it sadly doesn’t fit my lifestyle if it’s going to keep leaking everywhere.

I have the same problem with Nailtiques 2 and also 2 Plus, which is that both formulas start peeling on the third day. I take great care of my nails, always wearing dishwashing gloves and not using as tools. I followed the exact instructions, tried several times and no matter what - they both start peeling on the third day. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is that my nails look nice the first 2 days.

Works for brittle, broken nails
I have had brittle nails my entire life. They break off, split, and won’t grow. I have tried everything - every strengthening polish available, every type of polish, every type of cuticle oil, vitamins, etc. Nothing has helped at all. When I tried Nailitiques, I had three fingers on each hand that were broken down to the quick and bled painfully every day. It’s been about a month of using Nailitiques and my nails have all grown out and look the best they literally have in my entire life. I absolutely cannot get over how good they look - and that I can use them for things like opening cans! This has legit changed my life. I never had any of the burning or pain others describe in their reviews. It goes on like regular polish and dries quickly. I am blown away and so so happy with it.
