Q: are the scar sheets removed and washed daily?

  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. It is essential that the scar sheets are cleaned daily. The sheets should be removed each day and cleaned. You will rub the sheet with a few drops of a neutral soap. Remove as much dirt as possible with soap and lukewarm water. Rinse the sheet thoroughly under lukewarm water. Then leave the sheet to dry on a clean dry surface, with the sticky side facing up. The sheet can be reapplied once completely dry.

Very convenient and work very well.

Works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this product, I did not have any fresh wounds or bruising or scars so I tried it on a burn that I had from a child. It took the color out a little bit from darker to lighter. I believe that this product would work great for the start of a wound. I like that you’re able to cut them in half or make them the size that you need makes them last longer and I felt they were very easy to remove. They withheld showers very well. I felt like I could wear them for a few days before I needed to replace them. I use this product for about a week and a half, and I noticed that the scarf went from darker to lighter.

Could not review

Helped with raised scar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a scar on my neck that’s raised and discolored. I put on the scar sheet overnight and it was good size that fit over my scar well. It was malleable and easy to place on my scar. It did not cause any discomfort or itchiness and stayed on the whole night. It did not leave any residue on that part of my body and was easy to remove. I think it helped with the scar not looking as raised.

Solid Product to Address Discoloration from Scars!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Mederma Scar Patches consistently and would rate them 4 out of 5 stars. I wanted to give them a fair shot, and I’m genuinely happy with the results so far. I’ve noticed that my scar has visibly faded and looks less noticeable, especially in terms of color. It’s not completely gone, but it definitely looks better than when I started, and I feel like continued use will only improve it more over time. What really stood out to me is how lightweight and comfortable these patches are. Once they’re on, you honestly forget they’re there. I didn’t experience any irritation or discomfort at all. I personally chose to wear mine at night while sleeping, mostly so I didn’t have to think about it during the day or worry about it under clothes. That said, they’re so thin and comfortable that I absolutely could’ve worn them during the day without an issue. The color of my scar faded and the color of the patch was super neutral. The texture was flexible and stretched easily for a universal fit! The patch stayed in place overnight and came off easily in the morning without leaving any residue or redness behind. I also love how low-effort they are compared to creams or gels — no mess, no constant reapplying, just apply and go. Overall, I think these are a great option if you’re looking to help fade a scar in a simple, comfortable way, and I’d definitely recommend giving them a try!

Mederma Silicone Scar Sheets Small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary 4-count box of the Mederma Silicone Scar Sheets from Influenster for my honest review. I received the 1.4 x 3” silicone patches. They were easy to apply & stayed on my skin the entire night while I slept. I was impressed with the durability & that there was no residue when removed. The patches seemed to calm the inflammation of my skin but not as much as I’d have liked. Also, the patches can be washed & reused.

Didn’t work well for me:(

Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using these silicone scar sheets for a couple of weeks, I did notice a little bit of fading and smoothing of the scar that I had applied them to. I would be curious to see what a longer-term result would look like. I found them pretty easy to use, and I like that. They kept their adhesive even after many removals and re-applications.
