The Barilla Ready Pasta is so easy. I chose to do the 60 sec microwave method. The pasta cooked wonderfully, all tender. I was worried that part of the pasta would come out overcooked/crunchy or undercooked. I was pleasantly surprised that the cook was very even and well cooked. It isn't the best tasting pasta, but definitely worth it for the convenience. I would buy this again and again.

The pasta is pre-cooked and heats right in the pouch in only one minute in the microwave. This saved me about twenty minutes over cooking regular pasta. All I had to do was add sauce, mushrooms, and veggies for a quick, tasty meal. The texture turned out to be a perfect al dente. It wasn't soggy or mushy the way some frozen pastas end up when microwaved. The ingredients are simple, just pasta, olive oil, and salt. One pouch is considered a serving, but you could make two servings if you use it as a side. I recommend this for anyone who is pressed for time at dinnertime.

While yes it is faster to make, it's only saving a few minutes (less than 10) so the juice really just isn't worth the squeeze on this.

The pasta was a strange greyish color and not a regular pasta texture. More rubbery and chewie. Very much reminded me of the precooked baby food packages sold by Gerber for older kids.

I thought this would be great to leave at the office as an emergency lunch if you're too busy to go out and/or forgot to bring your lunch, but my partner asked what you would do about the seasoning. It could be cool if they also sold/included a perfection portioned packet of pasta sauce for the bag! I received this item for free in return for my honest review.

The fact that you can pop it in the microwave and have it ready so fast instead of boiling a pot of water is great and convenient. The only downside to it is that it was a little more firm than I wanted, which may just be caused by my microwave wattage. Overall I would purchase it again when I quickly need noodles.
