Barilla Ready Pasta Rotini - 7oz

If you are like me and never really plan meals then these are for you. I wait till the last min to decide to cook lol. Super quick pasta, no mess or dirty pots. Win win :)

I enjoyed this a lot because sometimes I get really hungry and cannot seem to wait to prepare the meal, especially with depression and tiredness at times. It did take 60 seconds to ready and I added spaghetti sauce to it. I will get more of these as quick, easy-access meals. I hope to see other pasta textures as well, especially the protein version and rainbow colors.

It was so crazy salty for some reason? It stunk but I thought maybe I was just being picky but I took a bite and had to spit it out and chug water after. I was really disappointed

Eating as a college student; i wanted real food in a pinch. while it's easy to cook, the pasta it self has a very weird taste that's hard to mask with sauces and spices. it tastes almost whole grain. not very good for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not usually one for prepackaged, precooked, prepared anythings but this was a welcome surprise. Not only in that it was nearly identical to fresh cooked pasta but also, it was made without enriched flour! Which is arguably far more important than anyone cares to admit nor talk about. I urge anyone who believes they suffer from a gluten allergy or who's digestive system responds negatively to bread or pasta to try it without enriched flour, results may surprise you. Much like lactose allergies and raw milk, but that's another conversation. The product was packaged conveniently in what I considered a single serving for myself, and allowed me to utilize some leftover sauce I had sitting in the fridge. Texture was between al dente and fully cooked, taste was along the lines of the 'whole wheat' pasta entries. Besides that fuller/earthier(?) taste, the difference was indistinguishable. I work about half the year on the road and this will more than likely get added to my repitoire.

The rotini holds its shape well and tastes just like freshly cooked pasta. Perfect for busy days when I need something quick. So, for convenience, it checks all the boxes. That being said, the texture is off from your typical cooked-from-dried pasta. I actually think this would probably be nice in a pasta salad where that additional firmness would be welcome. The concept of this is no different than ready rice and you certainly pay for that ease and convenience.

Ready in only a minute and come out great, and with sauce it is virtually indistinguishable from pasta cooked in a pot. I just add some sauce and a protein and my meal is ready in under 5 minutes with minimal cleanup.

While the noodles are not as good as boxed noodles, even a little chewy, they are good in a pinch when you need something quick.
