  • A: Hello Paula! Great question! CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Face Gel 1.75 fl oz can be used up to 12-month once opened. It should be stored at normal room temperature, during which it will retain its integrity and perform as expected. In addition our products are tested for a 3 year shelf life unopened and stored at room temperature. Products that contain SPF will have an expiration date listed on the package.     Great product, but pricey for the amount

    Upon application, product is very lightweight, absorbs into skin quickly, unscented, does not irritate, no greasy feeling and does not pill under makeup. I have combo skin and prefer lightweight gel moisturizers in the summertime. It is hard to find good gel moisturizers that do not pill. I did take a star off for the price point. At $15.99 for only 1.07 oz, I’m paying $9.13/oz. I can get a 6.07 oz bottle of the Clinique Moisturizing Gel (my go-to) at $8.07/oz plus freebies when they run their gift with purchase promos. I’m sure the formulation is different and could justify the price difference but to me they perform the same. Would expect a drugstore brand to have a more affordable price point vs a department store band.

    If you want to show off hydrated and repaired skin, this is the right thing to do

    This cream is Ultra light ideal if you have oily skin and want to fight and acne you want to show off a hydrated skin and at the same time better offers various benefits including moisturizing, protecting, soothing the skin. Its extremely practical packaging does not allow more than ideal product to be spilled.

    Not for all sensitive skin types

    On the plus side, the texture of this was very light, which I really liked, but my skin reacted to this. I used the gel for about a week and noticed my skin felt hot and irritated after using it. Dr. Google said it's probably the niacinimide that I am not tolerating well. Three stars for the texture and almost no scent.

    Light and natural

    I love this product. It goes on gracefully and you don’t even notice that it’s there. It is not heavy or greasy or shiny. It makes your skin feel full of life and it’s definitely good for sensitive skin types.

    Great base for make up AND amazing for oily prone

    If you have oily skin - this is for you! I have chronic oily skin and was always using moisturizers which made me even more oily and would make me break out. I then would just barely use any (kept it very light) thinking the less amount I used, the less greasy. Nope. Not true. I did tons of research and found out that you need to HYDRATE your skin with gel products. Gel’s first ingredient is WATER which your skin needs. The more hydrated, the less oil production! I’ve been using this for 3 years and my skin is acne free and oily ness is VERY minimal! This is a great base layer for make up too!

    Great for my sensitive combination skin

    This moisturizer is very lightweight yet very hydrating. It’s a gel like texture that melts into my skin. It makes my skin feel so soft. I like that it’s fragrance free because sometimes heavily fragranced products can irritate my sensitive skin. I haven’t had any irritation or breakouts from this formula. I think this moisturizer works well for my combination skin, it hydrates the dry areas without making me look oily. I also like that it has hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in it. It really moisturizes my skin without feeling heavy or oily. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this product for someone with sensitive combination skin.

    This is incredible it last around 15 hours, so that’s also very nice absorbs into your skin. Very nice. The texture is also very good. Very much worth the price. I used it after I had a sunburn. It helped very much.

    I'm using the CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Gel and the truth has surprised me a lot. It is super light, literally feels like water on the skin, and absorbs very quickly without leaving a greasy feeling. I love it because it moisturizes well during the day and leaves the skin soft and fresh. In addition, it has not caused me irritation or outbreaks. It is perfect if you are looking for something moisturizing but that does not feel heavy, especially for daily use.

    Good product, Poor Packaging.

    The product is fine. My issue is with the packaging. This packaging is not for someone with ADHD. Way too many steps to just open the bottle. Why can't the packaging for this product be like the other Ultra-Light. Just pick up, dispense, and apply to face. With this one, I have to pick up, open the lid, dispense, apply to face, and then remember to put the lid back. It may not seem like a big deal to non-ADHD/Neurodivergent folks, but for those that are, it is a big deal to remember all the steps.
