I have never had a “moisture therapy” product dry my hair out so much. Absolutely awful. The ends of my hair looked and felt like hay. I didn’t even finish the bottle, it went right in the garbage. Waste of money, ruined my hair.

I have been using an expensive salon shampoo for my dry, curly gray hair but since the price of everything is going up with no end in sight, I need to save money wherever possible. I bought this shampoo last week and I am very pleased with it. My hair is shiny, bouncy and soft and smells great . So far, it’s working much better than the expensive shampoo I was using. I’m planning to buy the Dove Cocoanut Hydration Conditioner when I need to. Thanks Dove for this product. Please don’t discontinue it!

I would give it 5 stars but... It would be an awesome product if it didnt smell like limey-chemicals!! I actually like the performance of this coconut hydration line, keeps me oil free for a few extra days, and my ends shiny and pretty. i just can't get past the smell... no coconut what so ever, just lime. Like, a lime hand sanitizer. It's awful. I love all the other coconut products of yours, like the deodorant- that smell is beautiful. Please consider matching that smell or making the shampoo and conditioner more of a true coconut scent! This lime has Got. To. Go.

Allergic reaction!
Shampoo is the absolute worst! I honestly can’t believe this is made by Dove. We only use dove bar soap and have used other dove shampoo and conditioner formulations before without issue but this formula gave my family a severe allergic reaction requiring benedryl to calm. I’m not sure which specific ingredient is causing this but felt obligated to warn others of the risk. For those who are lucky enough to not have an allergy to these ingredients, let me advise that this is the LEAST hydrating formula I’ve ever used. It’s clear and shockingly worse than dollar tree brands like V05! It sucked all moisture out of my hair leaving it like straw. I have normal hair but I always opt for hydrating since my hair isn’t oily. This is not hydrating in the slightest and lather is minimal. I want my hair clean but not squeaky clean. I would not recommend this specific formula to anyone. Also, to reference back to the allergic reaction. We don’t have sensitive skin. We use soaps and laundry soaps with scent so I never expected for both me and my youngest to have a reaction. My two older daughters have not tired it as I disposed of it before they could break out, which I fully anticipate they would!!

Smooth & Soft Hair
I absolutely love the way this shampoo and conditioner make my hair feel. I was trying out some other products and I hated the way they made my hair feel like it left some sort of residue in my hair after washing out. When I switched to Dove, it immediately fixed my hair and left it smooth and soft without any residue. My hair smells so good too.

I am a big fan of Dove products. The Advanced Care Coconut deodorant, coconut body wash and dry shampoo are some of my favorites. So I tried the Coconut & Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner. And unfortunately I was really disappointed. It did not smell at all like coconut. It almost had a borderline chemical smell. It was not creamy, nor did the shampoo lather up well. The conditioner wasn't better. Same smell, and left my hair feeling dried and dull.

STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE SKIN
This product broke me out in hives all over on my first use. Stay far away if you have sensitive skin. This should have a warning label on it or be taken off the shelves.

Worst shampoo I have boight in a LONG time.
This shampoo felt like I was using a bar of soap on my hair. It felt so stripped and dry and tangled after using. I was shocked so I tried another time, and same thing. I have very thick, long, fine hair and this left it dried out. Shocking since it says for hydration. Terrible shampoo! Back to Pantene for me.

Great for straight hair types!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very tight curls and my wife has straight hair. We both tried this product and were in love with the scent! The conditioner is rich and luxurious and makes your hair feel silky smooth! I do think this product is much better on straight hair as I saw much better results in my wife's hair. All in all, this is a great value for the money and I would recommend it to anyone with straight hair!
