    Horrible

    This looked like a good idea. NOT. What is that awful seasoning? I was able to drown it with BBQ sauce and Ranch dressing powder, but YUCK. I believe it's served in the Middle East, but in Texas? Not hardly. Let's call it an acquired taste, perhaps. Turmeric? Not garlic. What is it? I want to avoid it.

    Avoid

    Not even close to Chinese inspired (or flavored) fried rice. When I opened the package, I recognized the same unappealing smell of flavored products from this company from years before. The initial smell seemed identical whether it was fried rice of wild herbs. Back then I trusted that the flavor would resolve itself after proper cooking and it did. Now, several years later, I think there is a chemistry here that no human should ingest. Same smell, different flavors… Avoid.

    Ben’s rice

    The perfect side dish!

A protein, side and vegetable is very important when preparing meals for my home. Most of the time a prepackaged side is more convenient. I recently tried BEN'S ORIGINAL Ready Rice Fried Flavored Rice with my family and they all loved it. The ingredients were very fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. Microwaving the product in its steam bag only takes a few minutes before its ready to serve. The portion size for my family I actually needed to use two bags for four of us, yet it's still plenty. Great taste, and being very convenient, I highly recommend this product!

This fried rice in particular is one of my favorites, easy to pair with any meat as a side, or add meat and scrambled eggs as a whole dish.
