Smells Like Straight Soap--Skip This One
Absolutely love native products, especially their shampoo and conditioner, but this scent is not it. It smells like your typical soap and it’s not pleasant. I don’t like their sweet scents so I thought this would be a nice neutral citrusy type smell, but it’s unpleasant. Skip this one.

SMELLS WONDERFUL.....Until I use it in my hair!
Smells great in the bottle, right? Not so fast. I've had people tell me my hair smells awful, because it makes my hair smell like I've been working for a petroleum refinery. The conditioner smells wonderful too, but same thing AND it doesn't do anything to condition my hair. I have soft wavy hair. Not the first time I've used their hair products, but certainly the last time I buy their shampoo/conditioner.

Lightweight and Great for Fine Curls
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve really been liking the Native Japanese Golden Pear Strengthening Shampoo. Since I have fine, curly hair that gets weighed down easily, I like that this shampoo feels lightweight and doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy or coated. The scent is fresh, light, and clean without being too strong. It leaves my hair feeling soft, refreshed, and less dry while still helping my curls feel smooth and manageable. It also lathers well without making my scalp feel stripped. It's definitely a good everyday shampoo for fine curls.

I thought it smelled good in the store for some reason, but as I use it, it smells like a strong chemical and reminds me of gasoline.

Golden pear Native shampoo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo smelled amazing, loved the golden pear. I felt like it was strengthening and not too heavy on my fine hair. However I do wish it was a little more volumizing!

I appreciate the ingredients
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely loved the scent of this shampoo. It is subtle, yet it lingers in the hair for a long time. You only need a small amount of product to wash your hair, as it lathers up beautifully and distributes very well. It left my hair feeling very soft and easy to comb, and I really appreciate the fact that is free of silicone and sulfate, as this helps keep my hair healthy. Once dry, my hair feels soft and has less frizz

Leaves hair feeling and looking greasy
This shampoo smells great, but it leaves my hair looking and feeling greasy. It also feels like it doesn’t fully come off when I rinse it out. It’s also a really small amount of shampoo, it ran out pretty quickly. I give it one star for the scent and another for it being sulfate free, but I am now searching for another alternative.

Beware! Hair will fall out!
I should’ve listened to the reviews that warned that THIS MAKES YOUR HAIR FALL OUT! I have ridiculously thick and strong hair and I would have like 12 hairs come out while using this stuff. Then, today, I noticed my shirt had a lot of hair on it, too. I switched back to my OGX shampoo and immediately noticed I was okay again. Trust reviews. This stuff is like liquid radiation.

Good Product Bad Packaging
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the smell of the Japanese golden pear. I also was very satisfied of the consistency of the shampoo it's the perfect thickness for me to not use a bunch to wash my hair I don't like the super liquidy shampoos they feel like a waste for my thick long hair. The conditioner makes my hair really soft and feel hydrated as well. Now the packaging is terrible because of the type of pump they decided to use for this product 🙄 it took me so many tries and having someone else try and figure out how to open it they also struggled for 10 min trying to get it open and eventually we were able to. Because the packaging was so difficult to figure out I often didn't want to use the products because that is too much work to have to twist off the cap and take product off the tub of the pump nozzle since we couldn't figure out how to open it for the longest time until 2 days ago. I have no idea why they have 3 different types of pump nozzles they use for their products I will say this is the worst one as it's not easy to open compared to the pump used for the vanilla cashmere body wash by native that pump is perfect and they should stick with that for all their products if they are gonna continue using a pump. Tho I'd prefer no pump at all that's my personal opinion as I don't find it that convenient and also feel like I loose more product with pumps.
