Not worth if you dont have extra spending money
It is $30 a month to use the device and in order to play your own games that you bought, you have to have a game pass ultimate. No thanks. Returned this the next day.

Trigger stopped working after two days of light use. Hidden fees— had to pay a subscription fee just to use it as advertised (for 48 hours). Cheap adapter doesn’t fit iPhone Pro well.

dont waste your money
didn’t come with a charger for the device itself, you have to pay a $50 subscription fee to even get basic use of the controller. definitely not worth the price point it is with all the extra stuff you have to buy to get use of it. would rather take my whole xbox traveling or just use my nintendo.

manufacturer errors and hidden fees w/ app
It functioned as stated on the box and I had no issues with it but here are some underlying factors that you may want to consider. 1. Subscription fee just to get basic services that you think you’d get when you actually buy the controller. 2. They have a lot of manufacturers issues with the left side of the controller and I even had to have mine replaced and then the “refurbished” controller that was sent from BACKBONE and not Target had the same issue 3 months later. 3. Tried my Backbone on a different device and had to make an entire new account on that’s device just to use it even though I had an annual subscription. These underlying factors are why I think you should be cautious when buying and if you do only pay for monthly membership because as stated above, they break constantly.

This device has potential. They just executed this so poorly. This controller feels great. The system literally feels like an Xbox device but on iPhone. The only downside to it is that you have to buy other subscriptions after buying the controller. I mean if you want everything that this controller has to offer, it will cost around another 50 - 100 for the bone+ and the gforce games on steam. They give you 30 day trial but it’s not even allowing me to try out the games. It was a bummer how they said I had a free trial. Not really free.

I was hesitant to buy this at first for my partner. He use to play Xbox but with a hectic lifestyle he hasn't been as active with the game. However he travels a lot. I figured to proceed with buying and taking the chance. He's literally obsessed and very hooked. He Just messaged me telling me this is the best gift he's ever received. While away he uses this to kill time and he enjoys it.

Suprisingly Impressive!
As an avid gamer, I was a little iffy about the Backbone when it first came out. Usually strictly a PC player, I was holding out for the SteamDeck but finally gave in and I must say I wasn’t disappointed with it. The wealth of access to game platforms (PS, Xbox, Steam, Apple Store/Arcade, Nvidia, GeForce Now, Google Play, Etc) was extremely impressive. And the Backbone+ subscription is just another added plus with a lot of perks. Controller is easy to use, re-mappable, and responds quick. I enjoyed it so much I put off getting a SteamDeck for now. Give it a try!

Works great just upset about the fit
I’m giving 3 stars because while the product works great, it doesn’t fit my iPhone 14 pro max properly due to the camera being a little big. I have to hold my phone in place so it doesn’t slip out. I was so excited when I got this today. I even unwrapped the packaging in the store but, the second I put it on my phone I was slightly disappointed. I would still recommend it though because everything works great, it’s just the fitting that’s off.

when i got this backbone i was super excited, but once plugged in i was trying to use it yet the controller feature wasn't availible even after doing everything i could to make it work. terrible, i don't recommend this to anyone.
