Q: The specs state this is a 200 watt. However, if the vacuum is listed accurately by Bissell name on Target’s website, it should be a 280 watt not the 200 watt it states it is. Can you please confirm if this is 200 W or 280 W?

submitted by Candyrettich - 13 days ago
  • A: This is actually furfinder, 200W, since the model number is 4137, which state as Similar Models on BISSELL website.

submitted byLocal buyer - 9 days ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, Candy! You're right to notice the difference. The version sold at Target (Model 4137) is rated at 200W, while the one listed on BISSELL’s website (Model 4039) has a 280W motor. Both are part of the FurGuard line, but the Target model is a slightly different version with lower wattage.

Q: If this Bissel FurGuard has a 280-W motor listed everywhere else it’s sold, why does this description say it’s 200-W? Which is it?

submitted by Jules22 - 11 days ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, Jules! You're absolutely right to notice the difference. The version sold at Target (Model 4137) is rated at 200W, while the one listed on BISSELL’s website (Model 4039) has a 280W motor. Both are part of the FurGuard line, but the Target model is a slightly different version with lower wattage and a more budget-friendly price.

Q: Is this really a FurGuard? It looks like a FurFinder and seems to have a lower wattage. Plus, both the retail and sale amounts are less than the Bissell website.

submitted by Nick - 13 days ago
  • A: Great question, Nick! It is Target's retail-specific version (Model 4137) with a 200W motor. The BISSELL FurGuard (Model 4039) sold elsewhere features a 280W motor and may offer stronger suction. Both include the FurFinder Tool and self-cleaning brush roll. Hope this helps!

Q: Other than color how does this differ from the one on Bissell's website?

submitted by shay - 15 days ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, Shay! While the PowerClean FurGuard at Target and the one on BISSELL’s website look similar, they’re slightly different models. The Target version (Model 4137) has a 200W motor, while the BISSELL version (Model 4039) features a 280W motor for a bit more suction power. Both are cordless, pet-friendly, and include the same great tools—just with a few performance differences.

  • A: I came here with the same question so hoping to see an answer soon.

Q: Will this Bissell vacuum berber carpet

submitted by Flwish - 11 days ago
  • A: Thanks for your question! Yes, the BISSELL PowerClean FurGuard Vacuum Cleaner is safe to use on Berber carpet. It’s designed for multi-surface cleaning, including area rugs and low- to medium-pile carpets like Berber. The FurGuard Self-Cleaning Brushroll helps prevent hair wrap and works well on tightly looped fibers without causing damage.

Q: Can this vacuum on a high pile rug?

submitted by Caitlin - 11 days ago
  • A: Hi Caitlin. the BISSELL PowerClean FurGuard Vacuum Cleaner is designed for multi-surface cleaning, which includes area rugs and carpets. While it performs best on hard floors and low- to medium-pile rugs, it can still handle high-pile rugs—just keep in mind that maneuverability and suction efficiency may vary slightly depending on the rug's thickness.

Q: Does it reach all the way to the baseboards, or do you have to use another attachment

submitted by Jimmie - 12 days ago
  • A: Great question, Jimmie! Yes, the PowerClean FurGuard is designed to clean close to edges, but for tight spots, we recommend using the included crevice tool for the best results.

Q: Can the canister be taken off and washed out?

submitted by Kim - 12 days ago
  • A: Great question, Kim! Yes, the dirt canister on the PowerClean FurGuard is removable and can be rinsed out with water. Just make sure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and using the vacuum again

Easy to use, quiet, my new go-to over my Dyson and Central Vac. Kids even offer to help because it's quiet and fun to watch the cannoster fill up. Easy enough for them to empty and keep going. My autistic son is even ok with the noise, which is saying a lot.

Works excellent on our wood floors, not great for small carpets. I really enjoy seeing all the crap it pulled off your floor. The headlights are also very nice. Im getting ready to take it outside now to vacuum my car!

So far so good. Works extremely well on my hardwood floors. I have a dog that sheds a ton, so I vacuum a ton. Battery charge seems ok, better than my previous battery stick vacuum. Does my whole first floor on 1 charge- about 30 min run time. On carpet you have to turn the speed to the lowest setting or it will not work. I have very limited carpet so I can’t really speak to its capabilities there.

LOVE so much! I am normally a shark person but this is amazing! I have never had a cordless vacuum so I didn’t know what to expected. However, it does SOO good with my apartment. I have all hard floors except my rugs and it has three different speeds for different types of floors. It does really good transfers settings. It picks up everything in site. The lights are insane! I can see what needs to be vacuumed and it goes in places that have never seen a vacuum(under my bed and bathroom vanity)! I also have a dog that is shedding right now due to the hotter weather and it gets all of her fur. I love this thing so much. I can’t believe the deal I got on it too. I believe my apartment is about 1800 square feet and it last the whole way. I am a slow vacuumer too with a dog that will get in my way sometimes.

I’d say this was an average mid price vacuum. The light is a great touch. It takes a couple passes for the vacuum to collect hair, litter granules off of wood floor, and other debris, but it’s not a huge dealbreaker. Solid choice for something right in the middle.

I decided to purchase this after dealing with my Dyson V8 for years (battery life sucks). This machine is so smooth and has great suction. The headlamp was even a cool suprise for me. Only issue is my machine isn't working properly so I'm in the process of contacting Target Guest Relations ~speaking with agent Vien~ to be able to exchange in store. I would definitely recommend this vaccum to others. A wonderful suprise!

Have had it only for a day but really like it. I have two dogs and two kids so the house always seems to be a mess, especially with dog hairs everywhere. Pros -Works well for a cordless vacuum -Light at the bottom really lets you see the dirt and hair in the floor that you may otherwise miss -fairly quiet -price (I got it on sale but even at full price it’s cheaper than Dyson) - 3 different levels of suction to choose from - Cons- -slightly heavier than I would like (but likely as it has strong power)- not too heavy

Great Coredless Vacuum So Far

So far I really like this vaccum. I needed something that wouldn't get tangled due to my dogs fur (Chocolate Lab). The brushes are very easy to clean fur and hair off of. The charge seems to last a lot longer than my Dyson cordless I previously owner. My most favorite things are the lights while vacuuming and that it will stand on its own. I would suggest this vacuum to any pet owner!

So well-designed and user-friendly. I love how versatile it is and the attachments and configuration options mean I can vacuum literally every area of my home from between the washer and dryer to corners, under the bed, stairs and ceiling cobwebs. Great purchase! Highly recommend.

It works well at picking up the fur and dirt and the light on the vacuum illuminates it so you can see it while vacuuming. It seems to have a short battery life as I can’t do my whole floor and it’s heavy compared to my Dyson. However, it’s a fraction of the price.

Lightweight, 3speed, long lasting battery life, detachable battery so the whole vac doesn't need to hang on the charger. Everything clicks together firmly and easily. If you need to stop in the middle of a job, the VAC can stand up right on its own so you don't have to lay it down. Emptying the dust bin is super easy. Very sturdy for the low price. Really goes after the dog hair. Love it!

I am in LOVE with this vacuum! Our previous vacuum broke, so I decided to replace it when I saw that this was on super sale. How is it 2025 and I'm just now out here buying a cordless vacuum?? What a life changer. This little thing also does a GREAT job at picking up the hair from my 2 dogs! And the fact that it stands on its own? Magical. BUY. THIS. VACUUM.

Revolutionized our cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, to get this out of the way, I have 6 kids ranging in ages from 12 months (just turned 1 a few weeks ago, so early toddler stage!) to 13 years, 3 large dogs, and 2 cats. Our home can rapidly fall apart if we don't stay on top of it, particularly the floors and upholstery. Previous to the arrival of this stick vac we were pulling out our crosswave and full vacuum/mopping twice a day. It was exhaustive, but it's important for my youngest to have a clean space to play, and for the rest of us to not have gunk on our feet. I should note, we're also a no shoes in the house type of family, so we really want to keep all the outside where it belongs- outside. When this stick vac arrived, it looked just like any other, although it was super easy to put together. I loved the versatility it had- the option to use it as a handheld vacuum (with multiple attachments) or as a stick vac was unique compared to some other I've seen previously. It was a win in my home as it meant one less thing to keep, so our handheld vac has been retired to storage for the time being. One thing that I thought really set this apart, however, was that it came with the option to have it self-stand (no more obnoxious leaning to minimize falling over) or to mount it on the wall. We started with the self-stand, but plan to set up the wall mount as I love that it holds all the different attachments right there and charges. Onto the function of the machine- this thing is a beast. To put it into perspective, my family just took a 2 week long vacation. We had a neighbor who was watching our 3 dogs and 2 cats, but they primarily just came over to give them love, let them out, and ensure they were fed/had water. When I walked into my home upon returning, there was literally a coat of hair and dust on my floor. I could not step anywhere without there being hair (perfect time for my australian shepherds to start their summer shedding, right?). This absolutely disgusted me and I planned to pull out my "big kid vacuum" but the Bissell PowerClean FurGuard was right next to the door so I grabbed it instead. I turned on the headlamps and was even more taken aback by the state of my floors. A rapid cleaning was required, not optional. THE BATTERY LIFE LASTED THE ENTIRE HOUSE. This is not my normal experience with stick vacs, but my goodness was it a welcome one. I was able to vacuum my kitchen, living room, hallways, bathroom, and both kids rooms with out losing battery life or suction power. It was like the scene from Cat in the Hat when the mom is about to come back and the Cat quickly whisks everything back to normal. Within 5 minutes, my floors were clean and walkable again. Emptying and keeping this machine clean is a piece of cake too. Yes, it does take two hands to properly empty it, but I love that I don't encounter myself, or my kids, accidentally spilling the container anywhere. If I could change one thing about this stick vac, it would be to make the canister just a smidgen bigger, but even then, I don't know if that would be needed. If the battery life stays consistent with it's current use, this is literally the perfect stick vacuum. 10/10 recommend!

Great stick vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is great for pet owners! The fur upholstery tool did a good job getting my dog’s fur off the couch after a few passes. We have laminate flooring and the vacuum did a great job picking up the fur and debris easily, especially with the headlight to help see the debris in a light or dark room. I do like that it stands up on its own compared to the other stick vacuum I have. That feature is great when you have to pause vacuuming, without having to lay the vacuum down. The other good thing is that you can turn the button on and it stays on, compared to my other stick vacuum, where you have to hold the button down like a trigger during the duration of vacuuming. The only drawback in comparison was that it was heavier to carry and the green light on my other stick vacuum was more effective at visualizing the finer debris on the floor. Overall this is a great stick vacuum to use if you have pets or children, also at a great price point!

Reliable little vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little vacuum. I was worried about the run time being insufficient, but it's been more than adequate. It's great on upholstery and low pile rugs. I have a couple of high pile mats that did get a bit stuck. I wish it had the edge brushes that other vacuums have, but the suction is good enough from the front to get dirt and debris immediately in front of it. The lights are very handy. I definitely saw all the dust and fur on the floor. The dust canister comes off very easily and dumps neatly into the trash. The base is narrower than my last vacuum, but it is helpful for getting into smaller areas. I do wish it folded open so I didn't have to squat so low to get under places. I've been most impressed by the fact that I haven't had to cut any hair off the brush roller
