Our Brown Rice Flour is 100% stone ground at Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods on a very fine setting to prevent a gritty texture, a common complaint about many brown rice flours. This glutinous rice also imparts a richer, nuttier flavor than wheat flour. You can thicken sauces with it and use it for coating fish and other proteins, as well as create breads, cakes and even noodles.

Best we have ever used...

My wife and I are foster/volunteers with a Min Pin Rescue Group. We have been using Bob's brown rice flour to make dog biscuits for many years and all dogs love them. The flour's texture is perfect and we know it's a better choice than using white or wheat due to digestive issues.

This flour is a God send.

A family member has MAST cell activation and can only eat certain food to prevent a histamine trigger. Bob's Red Mill brown rice flour is what she can use, along with other Bob's Red Mill products. Thank you BRM.

Great! Same Every time. Love It!

I use Bob’s Brown Rice Flour in my gluten free flour mix because it is always the same.. Variety may be the spice of life, but variety in texture and taste in flour can make your baked goods a flop. People don’t know it is gluten free. They just know they like it.

Perfect for my needs

I use this as part of my flour mix to dust sourdough formed loaves prior to baking. It has been a very consistent product. The brown rice flour is not readily absorbed into the loaf, but makes it “non-stick” so the formed loaves can be place in the baking container more easily. It gives the loaves that classic dusted look & loaves just fall out of the pans. I am sure there are other ways to use this flour as well, but that is why I buy it!

NOT TREE-NUT FREE!!!!!!!

NOT TREE NUT-FREE!! 30 minutes after using it, my throat closed up and I couldn't breathe, which is my reaction to almonds. The package did not mention any tree nut contamination. I called the company and found out the flour is processed on the same line as their almond flour. I strongly suggested they update their packaging to mention this, which they have not. So I am hoping this review helps someone out. AGAIN FLOUR IS PROCESSED ON THE SAME EQUIPMENT AS TREE NUTS!!!!!!!

Easy and tasty

I use this flour principally for gluten free fruit crisps in my Bed and Breakfast. It has a mild taste, is super easy to mix with oats and butter and sugar. And guests always enjoy it. And my husband cannot tell the difference so he thinks he is getting 'real' flour!

Have used nothing else for homemade dog treats for at least 10 years now. Always had some difficulty finding in my local grocery stores but since ordering larger quantity online due to pandemic will probably try using in human recipes too.
