I bought it to replace my Bose Mini, which has been discontinued. It's a very nice size, shape and weight - and it looks great, easy to operate. But it just doesn't sound great compared to the Revolve or the Mini. It's definitely not enough HP to use outside on the porch, unlike the Revolve. In larger spaces or outdoors, it is very disappointing. The mids get lost, the sound doesn't decompress over distance and even using the EQ on the app, it's a disappointing sound quality.

I Love my Bluetooth speaker! The sound quality is amazing and I like that it can travel around the house with my! Appreciate water resistance! Super easy to set up. I have owned the original sound dock and think the sound quality is a bit better, but I actually prefer this little speaker to it. I tried it out like a speaker it rocks & I tried it out as a speaker for phone calls it was clear& sound very good& the other party on the other line says t sounds loud &clear. it connects very easily as soon as it is power on it connects right away

This Bluetooth speaker cost $149 and is not representative of Bose sound quality that I'm used to. The speaker is one inch tall by 5 in wide on the back side. There is no magic coming out of it; it's small and you can get much better sound for half the money buying something else. Using the Bose app there are some equalizer settings you can tinker with, but that didn't make much of a difference in sound quality. I'm returning this to the store for a refund.

The SoundLink Flex Portable is another example of the tireless innovation of Bose. This small speaker system packs an amazing base punch with incredible sound quality. The smaller products kept getting better since the introduction of the little speakers back in 1998. Not too long after came the Wave Radio and other Bose products built with small speakers continued to follow. Keep designing stellar products and I am anxious to see (and hear) what comes next.
