Q: Hello, does it have vertical supports? Or does it fall down whenever you aren't holding it up? All the other answers to the questions on this item seem to be written by a bot, missing the point.
A: Adding the answer to help clarify some of the misinformation provided. This hamper doesn't have any supports. The thick plastic like coating on the inside keeps the hamper from collapsing.

There is vertical bar for support but the structure is made in such a way that it's not easily collapsible. With the ample 22 inch height, it will stay upright for storage. Happy shopping! - Emma

Q: Do you purchase this with it standing upright, or is there any assembly involved such as removing it from a flat box?
A: It comes collapsed. The packaging is paperboard around the center of the hamper. After removing that, you just expand the sides. The plastic like coating on the inside keeps the hamper standing.
