Pros: dishes are very clean Cons: dishes TASTE very clean I’ve heard that silicones and plastics start to taste off when you clean them in the dishwasher but in my 2 years of baby/toddler raising I’ve never experienced it. Then I buy these for the first time and, BAM. Went from zero to “did I accidentally fill this cup with industrial cleaner and fake lemons instead of water?” in one wash flat. I didn’t realize this was scented until I came back to see if others had the same problem. I guess I’ve never bought scented dishwasher soap before? Or these are just unusually good at ruining household items? You know, I haven’t really noticed a scent when putting these pods into the dishwasher or unloading the dishes, so what was even the point? Is Cascade in cahoots with Big Silicone?

Our products are extensively tested to ensure quality and performance, and we appreciate your bringing this to our attention. We wouldn't expect Cascade to impart a taste, however, this is possible if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous. To ensure the dishwasher is rinsing properly, place a cup or mug on the top rack right side up, so it can collect water. Run a dishwasher cycle. The cup/mug should be filled with water at the end of the cycle. If it isn't, it's an indicator that the dishwasher is not rinsing properly. Also, if certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. Good clean but everything tastes like soap

Everything is clean, which I appreciate, and makes this difficult, but everything tastes like soap. Most notable with any plastic or silicone things. Makes leftovers very unappealing. And poor kid eating of the silicone plates had all her food tasting like soap for his knows how long before we realized. Switching to something more natural and less scented or soapy.

We're so very sorry to hear about this. We wouldn't expect Cascade to do this. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. I’ve been using the Cascade Dishwasher Pods for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed! Every single load comes out spotless — no leftover grease, no water spots, and definitely no lingering odors. I love how easy it is to just pop one pod in with no mess or measuring. The scent is fresh but not overpowering, and it leaves my dishwasher smelling clean too. I’ve tried other brands in the past, but Cascade has been the most consistent for getting my glassware crystal clear and my dishes truly clean. Bonus: It works great even on tougher loads when I forget to pre-rinse. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient dishwasher detergent. Pros: ✅ Spotless clean ✅ Easy to use ✅ Pleasant scent ✅ Works on tough stains Cons: ❌ Slightly pricier than some alternatives — but worth it!

I have the sample for this product and it was really good at making my dishes clean and shiny. I think that if I had bought it I would definitely say it’s worth the money because the packaging for the sample is cute like a bag but the actually products packaging which is the box would keep it so much more organized. It smells pretty good too and leaving the dishwasher smelling fresh!

I received a trial pack to use in my new dish washer and let's just say I'm less than impressed with the whole deal. The dishwasher isn't my favorite but this brand in particular out of the 3 I've used now DOES NOT like plastic. I didn't use the power dry but it was a load of plastic cups and silverwear and 2 glass plates. Everything but the plastic sparkled. I included a picture of still stuck on soda and a huge Sud stream left over on one cup.

I tried another dishwasher soap and had to go back to this one. It’s no contest which one was better at removal of food. I love this packaging better. The scent doesn’t bother me it’s not really strong. I don’t know what the environmental impact is of this product

These little pods are powerful, easy to use, and they leave my dishes looking sparkling clean, even when I don’t pre-rinse (which is most days, let’s be honest 😅). Cascade is the one and only dishwasher pod we use in our dishwasher. Eat, rinse and load the dishwasher, pop in a cascade pod, press the button and when cycle is complete your dishes come out spotless. We probably wouldn’t even have to rinse the dishes but I don’t want to risk clogging the drains.

Helps with WELL WATER. I have a new dishwasher and have tried everything to get a smell of "wet dog" off my dishes. This product with the bleach works extremely well. I do wish it had a lemon scent however it does not stop me from praising this wonderful product.

By the time the container is half full, the pods stock together and the detergent within the pods get on my hands. I have been careful to seal the lid, and still have the same issue.
